Re: Walk On Tryouts

Honestly, wish that I had known that some people actually do "walk on" and its not just the non-scholarship offers when I was early in my undergrad. Would have been cool to have that as a goal for working out and then giving it a shot. Even just for scout team or just to say I tried.

So just to make sure everyone understands, he is transferring from Maryland. I misunderstood and though he went to FAU this season. He played a little bit for Maryland this year. This might just be the final fruition of 22's report of the transfer to FAU.

Re: Whos the next OC

My serious answer is that I want someone with OC experience over a spread offense. Preferably, FBS but if they showed a high level of success at the FCS level, I would be happy with it. I don't care if they have connections with Utah, if they are a "rental", or anything of the sort. Our program isn'...

The scary part is who Gary hires to replace Sanford. Gary has only ever proven to hire from the good ol boy network. That leaves some scary names.

Kevin McGiven, Dave Schramm, Aaron Roderick, Fesi Sitake, etc.
How did Aranda and Orlando fit in the good ole boy network? Or even Wells?

Re: Sanford headed to Minnesota

I was not happy with Sanford this year but wanted to be patient. He was running a system he didn't know. Should he have stood up and said "I run my system or I am not taking the job." Yes. But that might have happened next year. This might just open up the door to it anyway. Or we get a new OC who a...

Henry Colombi is the guy in 2020. What's going to be interesting a couple of years from now will be who steps up out of Andy Peasley, Josh Calvin and Cooper Legas. All three players will be redshirt freshman in 2020. Does this mean Peasley has already had a medical redshirt approved, or are we assu...

Why doesn't UNLV hire another high school head coach? What about Favero? He was pretty good at Logan.
Why not take a second swing with the Bishop Gorman Coach? I think it's Sanchez's brother.

This is a young team. We will lose some stars this off season but we have a great chance to grow. Obviously 7-5 isn't what we want, especially how some of those losses played out, but its not like this was our "now or never" team with an easy schedule.

I'm optimistic for the future.

Your Niavete is refreshing. The NCAA isn’t going to protect us in any way. This will funnel money and players Upward even more so than is happening now. Especially Break out players. The problem with this is the transfer portal and the "break out players" Perfect example Jordan Love. 1-Player is not heavily recruited gets a scholly to a mid major. 2- Player has a phenominal year as a freshman or soph or whatever. 3- USC donor looks over the fence (with the help of USC coaches) ...

Important point that is heavily being overlooked. Both by those in this thread and most of the media reporting it. THE NCAA HAS NOT AGREED TO ALLOW THE PLAYERS TO BE PAID.
