Re: Now vs. Then

The games that I've watched this yr it seems most teams in conference are vastly improved and very athletic. Sam is the only guy who can put pressure on the opposing teams defense. I was shocked at how athletic BSU was. But thats thats no.excuse to lose the game last night.

Re: Bodie Reeder, the next OC

Here's an informative article written last year about Reeder pulled off an Ok St blog when they were in the market for an OC. Offense should look familiar. https://pistolsfiringblog.com/chalk-talk-why-bodie-reeder-should-be-osus-next-offensive-coordinator/ Quite a few good video clips of what style...

The thing is, we all kinda saw this need in recruiting last year....
Wow same guy different sport thread....gotta say not shocked. When are you going to call for coach Smith's head?

My buddy is a Mizzou fan, and I guess they had Derek Dooley as their OC and he is out with Mizzou firing their last HC. Dooley could be intriguing. But he might get better offers- and seems to be more of a "south" type guy. But if you remember-he was at LA Tech for awhile and Tennessee. Is he a par...

Re: Whos the next OC

I'd like a shout run game They sometimes call penalties on the defense for simulating the snap count, but would the refs call a penalty on the offense for shouting? The QB could get away with it, but I think they might call a penalty if the running back was doing it at the same time (pre-snap) as t...

So what do you guys want in a new OC? I want someone who uses multiple formations and shifting of personnel. I'd like a shout run game, I really liked the counter run play that we used this yr. Also someone who can figure out how to utilize Tompkins he needs at least 5-7 touches a game.

Also understated is how garbage a S&C coach Dave Scholz was/is. The “results” he got looked good as far as self promoting himself on Twitter but the program he ran for the kids was criminal. Everything will be better next year with a full year in a better program. Do not underestimate the instituti...

I actually think Ena is a fantastic coach. He didn’t have much to play with this year, our lack of depth killed us this year and give credit where it’s due - the O played well last night. Then you need some film sessions and learn a bit about offenses and defenses and how not to use your personell....

I note many stout opinions posted here, yet the reality is ENA inherited a very solid returning group of proven athletes and misused two fine outside linebackers in a stogy l4-3 set defense that failed the call this year. Second half play was poor in close games and further evidence that D C Ena ju...
