Re: Football Season Is In Jeopardy

this article has some insight on the likelihood of CFB2020 https://www.yahoo.com/sports/heres-the-biggest-factor-for-college-football-returning-this-fall-014311216.html The most important decision dictating that decision appears to be the return of students to actual colleges. “With school not in s...

Re: Football Season Is In Jeopardy

I have generally been a pessimist on the Covid 19 stuff but I think we have a mostly normal football season. For a few reasons: 1. The shutdown is to allow hospitals time to build capacity. That is being done, though too slowly. By fall though, I think there will be testing systems in place that ca...

Re: Football Season Is In Jeopardy

I think it is very likely that the NCAA and NFL seasons are canceled this fall. This is going to put a big pinch on small schools that have a tough time making ends meet and rely on football revenue to keep their athletics department afloat (see, USU). Gary Anderson and some other coaches have offer...

I haven't had a chance to listen to the interview so I don't know if the subject was discussed or not, but Anderson has offered the possibility of playing conference games only in the upcoming season.

If this goes - it is a funny situation for BYU.

Jalen Tate update. I think he ends up at Cincinnati or Xavier but who knows. Again we’ve seen plenty that say they have interest from us and in the end we never contacted. But this kid would be good. All league defense multiple times and double digit scorer. Article has some good stuff. I think we ...

Re: Baseball fans gather here

I have watched several re-broadcasts of classic games over the last week. On Saturday I was switching back and forth between Game 7 of the 2001 World Series (Schilling and Diamondbacks vs. Clemens and the Yankees) and Game 5 of the 1986 NLCS (Astros vs. Mets). It is always entertaining to watch the ...

I can't imagine the tremendous pressure that will be on the quarterback that replaces Tom Brady in New England. The expectations in that town are very high. How patient will they be with a rookie quarterback?

I am hoping the baseball season can be somewhat salvaged. In the meantime let’s have a trivia contest. Get these right then you can ask 3 questions, and so on. 1. Who hit the first home run in Dodger Stadium? 2. Which was the only game played in which batting averages for a team did not change at a...

Watch Flynn's shot again. He takes three steps setting it up. He traveled. He takes a step and then he takes two more steps to set his feet to shoot. The shot shouldn't have counted even if it went in. And yes - they should never be able to pass a ball half the court down without an defender somewhe...

I re-watched that game. A few things I noted: *Not to say anything bad about the guy that hit big shots and THE BIG SHOT, but Sam missed two three pointers down the stretch that could have been daggers. *Alphonso was huge in the second half. Back-to-back three-pointers, got fouled and made two foul ...

Dion Bailey did I the trampoline basketball. Toraino was the best defender on the team and shut down Heinrich that game. He is now a teacher and coach in El Paso.
Ah yes - it was Bailey. Thanks for the correction and the update on Johnson.
