Re: 2020 Utah State Football Preseason Preview: Wide Receiver

I hope that my reputation around here is as a guy that generally views the Aggies in an optimistic light, and wants them to succeed always. Having said that, WR is a great stressor for this team this year. McGriff has the measurables, and he will be relied upon heavily. Nathan is a great slot recei...

Difference is although Green was recruited to USC as a QB he had completely transitioned into a WR before transferring.
For a converted quarterback, Green was a tremendous blocker. Probably the best blocking wide receiver we have had in quite some time.

Re: PAC-12 makes it official - Conf. only games

7-10 days I just got a notice that says CIF is pushing the FB season to a late August start date, no organized practices or activities until then. I'm guessing HS FB in CA is gonzo this year. Los Angeles and San Diego school districts just announced they will not re-open schools in the fall

Re: Call your shot: will there be a season?

I'm saying no. Realizing that no football means so much lost revenue that many schools, including USU, might see the deaths of their entire athletic departments. I cannot imagine allowing so many people being crammed together in stadiums. I wonder if, somehow, deals could be reached with the networ...

Re: New QB transfer?

This seems really odd to me. Colombi is capable, had been in the program 3 years and is ready to break out. Peasley and Legas and Josh Calvin are all quality backups. This seemed like a position we were well stocked at. I agree, i wonder how Columbi feels about this. He has waited his time and is a...

They have a lot more money to weather this storm than USU does. If they have to cancel football for a year, they are still in a viable position as an independent. If this disruption (coronavirus shutdown stuff) continues past the 2020-21 year, it could get ugly for a lot of schools.

They should wait 5 or 6 years to see if USU will still have a football team after the coronavirus shutdown. Styles could change by then and you don't want to roll out yesterday's fashion with your "new" look. It might save the school some money, too, if helmets are not needed.

Basketball, not football. A few observations after many months and in a time of extreme sports boredom: 1. Alfonso Anderson was huge in that game.
