What did it say on the back of the blue/gold gameday shirts?
Reminded me of a vanity license plate that I couldn't solve. I know I'm not the target audience, but man these and that invisible writing shirt? Less than optimal. I would think even for Gen Z Get it together? Go in together? Gold (something) together Go at it together Go together as one Got it toge...

Re: Before There Was Such a Thing as a Superbowl,
Ah, times past when football was played on real grass, in the mud and at times snow. At the end of the game it was like a game trophy to walk to the locker rooms dirty, muddy and at times more. NOSTALGIA.... The last game I saw in Romney Stadium was in November 1994. Snow was piled high on the side...

Re: ESPN 30 for 30 Al Davis vs the NFL tonight
Really good, but the deep fake video stuff was really weird and unnecessary. I would have preferred more interviews with current figures who have a recollection of those days to give context. Yup the deep fake "Al Davis" was bad. And I agree, you have a lot of people still around who had first hand...

Re: Miami QB enters portal
One thing that's funny is I guy I work with thinks Jason Shelley is good. First, after the announcement he was coming here but before the announcement of Colombi leaving, he told me he was going to beat out Colombi for the starting job, if Colombi stayed. Then, he kept telling me each week that She...

I wonder where Shelley will land? He deserves a better shot than what he got at USU. GA takes the blame IMHO, not the players.

Re: Love this new coaching staff
It wouldn't bee too hard to follow and improve on the clown car full of coaches we had last season. No doubt that a group of us here on the forum could do as good as they did. A new staff could basically show up and be an improvement But it looks like Anderson isn't satisfied to just show up, he's f...

Re: Before There Was Such a Thing as a Superbowl,
Man I hated the NFL in those days. I'd be watching games with my dad and we would joke that Pat Summerall had a Dallas cowboys star tattooed under his hair on the side of his head. He worshiped the Cowboys. That coach of theirs with the hat? It was way worse than Madden worshiped Bret Farvaree (the ...

Re: I forgot to honor the greatest Aggie player
I'll always remember going into the spectrum one afternoon with my dad. We walked over to the Estes display. Looked it over and I turned and walked away and took a few moments to compose myself. When I walked back the old man wasn't there. I walked around a little and found him. He asked me why I di...

Re: Packers GM
As a Packer fan, most Packer fans are really concerned that he couldn't even beat out Tim Boyle for the back up job. The other problem is the Packers were in the NFC championship and instead of drafting a guy that could put them over the top this season, I.E. WR, ILB, CB, they drafted Love, and Dil...

Re: Fresno game thoughts
The guys are starting to get Queta the ball a little more on time and in the right place. There is still a lot of room for improvement, which has me excited. And Dorius is starting to play with a lot more confidence. I also liked the substitutions. Sometimes it seems like we get stuck with a non-sco...

ESPN 30 for 30 Al Davis vs the NFL tonight
Supposed to focus on Al's feud with Pete Roselle. Featuring a young Al Davis. I'll tape it and watch. It's a good show for those who never saw the Raider glory years, and never knew the history. How innovative and influential Al was in the NFL.

I'm not moving the goal posts for this team. I say 8 is the floor every season. Perhaps I am too demanding... ....But we've seen how quickly things can change under new coaching. (i.e. Craig Smith). Pro QB's need time on the field to develop. Either in pre-season or during the season as replacements for injured players. Love has none of this. The Packers made a good investment picking Love. Many here may disagree, but IMHO JL is not now and wasn't out of college ready to be a starter in the NFL...

I've been around long enough to know that players don't magically get better when they change teams. Those guys in the portal are hit and miss. I would assume that most of the time they're misses. There is ongoing Raider curse on Brady at play here.
Brady had Randy "No Mass" from the Raiders and the Pats lost the SB after a great season. Now Brady has Antonio "frostbite crackhead" Brown from the Raiders on his team. The curse is real.
Bucs go down

Re: Man, what a difference a week makes
It was a sad game to watch. When things were going well for us it seemed like it was still bad. Man we have real issues finishing at the rim. Made me miss Sam. I was always a little unimpressed with his drives to the hoop. He wasn't quick and couldn't really elevate. But man, he could finish. We REA...

Smith is a great coach, you know he told them exactly what to do. The players are still too fat headed from winning 11? straight to take the coaching.
It might take another game for the wisdom to sink in, but I doubt it.

I thought the team/game turned when SD undercut Queta. It was a dirty play. Think what you want but those are college level players and things like that don't happen accidentally. A cheap and dangerous play against our best player. It's a moment where you see teams fold, get timid, lose their focus....

I saw his name for the first time today in the paper. The article mentioned him in the same sentence as Steve Young. They think he could go in the top 5. He probably was a better college QB than Love. But, Love has a higher ceiling, (and a lower basement). If they think Wilson's pro ready next seaso...

I'm optimistic. Even though Madmartigan and I agree that the hurry up offense is a gimmick, I'm excited to see somebody other than Yost's version of it. I think we had a competitive team on offense personnel wise last season. Coaching was our biggest problem. The offensive players didn't know the pl...

Impressive. That game v/Air Force was a shocker to me. I'd seen us get blown out couple of times early in the season and thought the BB team was going to be worse than our FB team.
What a turnaround. Made me happy.
Guards just need to be solid, not great. We'll go as far as Queta takes us.

Don't know if it will make any difference but the Bay Area press is asking Brennen and the university to comment on the reason why so many players and coaches weren't at the game. The official statement was that it would be incorrect to assume that all the absences were covid related. The reporter m...
