Re: Most unbeatable records in sports

Ray Guy punting. He was the first to hit the TV screen above the Louisiana Superdome. He had only three kicks blocked in his career. I've spoken to Guy, Told him I was in the stadium when he set the record for the longest punt in Romney. ( I think it's been beaten now) Was taking to Steve Mothersell...

Re: Players Opting Out (Allegedly)

This is so overblown it is driving me crazy, the survival rate is just under 99% and if you throw in this age group it is even higher. This is a flu virus, is this going to be the norm going forward? Each player can decide if they want to play, and if there is a season, and they don't play they los...

Re: Go Raiders! Just win, baby! Why every Aggie should be a Raiders fan

It is a little strange. Teams play strategic games releasing players then re-signing them. On the bright side, I think the Raiders let Dallin Leavitt leave rookie camp unsigned, they called him back, and he ended up on the roster

Re: Gary interview - July 29

I love HC, and I thought he would be an impact player for us, I'm sorry to see him go, but after watching Shelley play, I will not condemn GA in any way for signing him. If HC had stayed? Based on game film and experience I'd say Shelley would be the odds on favorite to start. I'm thinking next year...

So Gary tried to bring in another QB in May huh.

One thing that is abundantly clear, Gary did not want to go into this season with HC as his QB.
Sounds like it
GA might have gotten a drift that HC wanted to be a "free agent" during this non-season.

I just watched Shelley in this game. IMO, he played really well. He wasn't asked to do a whole lot, but, I liked what I saw. I was expecting to see Kent Meyers v2, but, I like Shelley much better. I thought most of his throws were catchable and I liked how he didn't just lock onto 1 receiver. The b...

I've heard of tequila. For some stupid reason I drank a half a bottle one night waiting for my date and her friend to show up. Was fine getting into the car (I thought) and made it OK into Frederico's, but after a few minutes I fell out of our booth on the floor and had to be carried outside. I cou...

I thought it was 4 fingers of whiskey to kick it off then some slow drinkin tequila....by the way, I thought tequila was made for shots ( aka fast drinkin)? If you get the good stuff, you can sip it. And there's a proper way to sip. No hangover with the good stuff either. IMHO, as well as Rodgers s...

Re: 2020 Utah State Football Preseason Preview: Wide Receiver

Nathan and Thompkins specifically and the WR's overall should put up improved numbers. Shelley throws a very catchable ball, and he's able to move around in the pocket. More time for the WR's to break free.

Re: Jason Shelley’s Skill Set

Shelley has average arm strength. I loved what he did for Utah, but he was never going to be a viable QB option at Utah. It was very obvious the difference between him and Huntley. Y'all can argue the level of competition, but he's nowhere near the level to win consistently at a high level. He cons...

Re: Jason Shelley’s Skill Set

OK, after watching that video I'm very happy. Somehow I got the impression that he was an option type QB. Not so, he can definitely pass, and being a pass first guy is probably why he's at USU not Utah. I can't wait to watch his Utah football games. The OP said he looked antsy in the pocket. I would...

Reminds me of how upset I was when Kobe left the BB team. That was a learning moment for me because it turned out fine. My first thought was that Coach Colombi felt disrespected, not the kid. GA isn't a great coach but he's experienced, and that experience should help him deal with players/parents expectations. But anyone who has been in sports knows, parents can be a major problem. This looks Coach Colombi getting w...

The quick easy take is that the Packers wasted a pick on a developmental guy. Something that signals a re-build instead of a re-load, and Rodgers is going to be pissed. I don't buy that. This draft is DEEP with WR's, and the pack will be able to get talent at WR with either or both of their next 2 p...
