Re: Anyone have access to J Love article?

I have watched Love shoot up the mock draft boards, and I have been left to sit here and wonder what the hell just happened. Two years ago we watched a plucky young man throw dimes all over the field and elevate his game to a level rarely if ever seen at Utah State. This past year was an absolute (...

Re: (SDSU/USU) whoever gets furthest in the NCAA tournament is the best team in the MWC

Baylor and Gonzaga are looks at #1. Sam Diogo State is not going to pass them up. You’re only hope is Dayton loses and Florida State or other don’t make a great run. Honestly, I don’t think the committee will give SDSU the benefit of the doubt for #1 seed with that Q3 loss on their record and curre...

Yeah, the whole first half they let everything go and then decided to call everything the whole 2nd half. College basketball has a lot to address IMO. Between the inconsistencies and dumb reviews stopping the game for 15 minutes for flagrant fouls and other crap that no one used to bat an eye at and...

Re: Sam. Freaking. Merrill!

In all honesty, is there any way Sam Merrill gets invited to the NBA Combine? Any chance he could be drafted late 2nd round? I don't know about that but Real Madrid will have an opening for a foreign shooting guard in a couple months. He would come in a Rock Star there just on Jaycees' reputation. ...

I have to chuckle...I was one of those big Kent Myers proponents. Really smitten with his high school film and really thought Yost could get in his head and elevate his game. Never happened...realized in the final season he lacked football IQ. Jordan Love in contrast...I was not at all impressed wi...

Re: Miller 1st half: 0-5 fg, 0-4 3pt

Miller is in the top 5 in the conference (and leads the team) in a few categories related to taking care of the ball. Maybe Smith likes the fact that he doesn’t turn it over. I’m sure many of you will claim that is because he shots it as soon as he gets it. Every shot is pretty much a TO so that st...

Re: JayCee Carroll-Sports Hero to many in Spain

Not to hi-jack a thread here, but consider a scenario: There are 12 seconds left in a game and USU is down a point and is throwing the ball inbound from under the opponent's basket. Who would you want to pass the ball into to get the ball up the court and take the winning shot or pass to a teammate...

Seeding. Our best performances in the last 20 years came with Rock, Mark Brown, and Quayle running the point. That’s not a coincidence. Guard play is key. We have to shoot better. The 3 pt shot is the great equalizer. I agree. The Quayle year against Marquette was the hardest loss for me because of...

So if you don’t play Miller who you gonna play? Between the guard/wing spots we only have Merrill, bairstow, Brito, a gimpy Abel and Miller. Team needs more guards/wings and miller has to play regardless for depth. Forgive me but is he really a better wing defender than Bean? The reason the SDSU gu...

I don't complain about the refs, I think fan bases get caught up in that and use them as scapegoats. That said, the refs were terrible... on both sides (as Trump would say). On both sides. 1. You could have picked 3 random blind church ball refs and taken away their glasses and the reffing wouldn't have been worse. 2. You could have replaced our guards and wings with the fat guys they call out of the crowd and make shoot in their socks and have hit more of those open 3s. And I'll bet ...

Biggest Frustration last night

Hard to nitpick a win but I felt that the ball needed to be in Queta's hands in the post every single possession he was out there last night unless it involved a cut to Bean before that. He should have had triple the touches and double the shots. Let him make the passes if he wants. Better yet just ...

Guys, guys, guys. I don’t want to hear about our players sucking. This one is squarely in Smith. The thing is both teams had to sit through the fouls and the reviews.
