Revenge on Goodman, revenge on Tod K
Our AD has proven quite nefarious. We recently got revenge on Goodman, now it's time to get revenge on Tod K. What do you think the plan is? Sabau and the family need to take care of this guy.

Maybe she's in an interview with a coach. In a discussion with an agent. We also have the personal aspect of her son. That's more important than going on the radio. Let's have some grace. You kidding? The radio is everything. Everyone listens to the radio, especially at 2 pm. Literally everyone in ...

Re: MWC Additions
Still, would you not accept OSU and WSU as additions to the MWC if they were willing? I would. And I would look around the Western United States and see who else makes sense that would make the jump and who would strengthen the conference. If we're gonna grab Gonzaga, we might as well grab GCU. Two...

Re: Let Me Set the Record Straight
Sounds like Tod K has scrambled our coaching search up a couple years in a row now. Why do we keep talking to this guy? Feels like Ben Wyatt letting down the accounting firm over and over again.
That being said, I don't think Tod K. is the very best option we have available, but still.

Re: Why tf are we so secretive?
I have no problem with the AD, I’m just asking why? What’s the benefit and purpose of making everyone involved in the search sign an NDA? I guess just to avoid embarrassment if we’re told no by our top 1-2 candidates?

Who the hell cares if a lead candidate or candidate list is leaked? Obviously the fans want to know. It’s not like the SEC is going to break down the doors if news leaks…

Re: No Slam Dunk Hire
I think that might be the biggest argument for taking a chance on an assistant. I’m glad I’m not the AD making this decision. Fortunately, they are interviewing and researching much more extensively than we are. I have faith they’ll make a good hire.

Re: Our current Guys haven’t portaled, officially.
Whoever ends up with the Gig, we will know right away what the players think. It will be very telling if we hired the right guy or not. I don’t know if that’s true… people left when smith came in, people left when Odom came in, and people left when sprinkle came in. I’d love to not lose any players...

Re: Sprinkle press conference at UW
Honestly, good for Sprinkle. I think he was genuinely fond of Utah state and would have stayed here for a while. But this is his dream job, he got paid a huge starting salary, with potential for more if he does well. He has as big of a budget as anyone for NIL. He’s basically been given the opportun...

The last 2 guys we hired had been in the NCAA tourney. That's gotta be the floor for me. Okay. But this year there were a lot of one bid conferences that sent like there conference 5th seed. Irony of not hiring assistants
The irony is that every outgoing coach we have one assistant coach really pushing for the job, only to go with a proven head coach at a lower level. Then we are upset when that coach is not loyal and jumps at the next offer… I am by no means saying we should hire an assistant, because what we’ve bee...

What Sprinkle can't take with him? A few things, listed in no particular order: 1. Spectrum Magic (that's ours to keep) 2. Darius Brown (no eligibility) 3. Cache Valley (with all its beauty and idiosyncrasies) 4. Logan Canyon (with all its beauty and activities) 5. Old Main (and the rest of campus)...

Yeah, this gets talked about all the time. The more I think about it, the less I want it. Just so we can see the best pieces from our last team come back to the spectrum in a different jersey? Just take the buyout money and move on, I say.

60 year old, from our AD’s hometown that has never been to the NCAA Tourney with zero ties regionally or within our state? No thanks. This would be a John Hartwell move and imo a bad one on the part of our AD. This has to be an absolute home run hire not a safe hire. In today’s landscape you can’t ...

Arizona hired an assistant coach 3 years ago. Since then Arizona has been a 2 seed in the NCAA tournament twice and a 1 seed once. IIRC, when we hired Duryea, I think we wanted to hire Tommy Lloyd, but he laughed at us? Then Scott Barnes folded and just passed the job along to Duryea because he was...

Yeah, at this point it looks like we're turning over coaches every couple of years until we get on that sucks and we fire them after 3-4 years. We really need to get one to stay long-term with consistent success. Not winning the conference every year, necessarily, but competing for it.

Well, Sprinkle did bring in all the players this last year. He's not gutting so much as he is just moving them all from one program to the next. I guess the blame still falls on Odom for us not having any players this upcoming year?
