Re: NC A&T

Guaranteed fights when they play Weber. Just you mentioning Weber hockey makes my blood boil. Stems way back to the genesis of USU hockey when we played in their same rink (Ice Sheet). Some great games with standing room only. Not only did we have fights on the ice, but I remember fights breaking o...

Re: MWC

I agree. I think we will have some competition for top spot. SDSU and NM have some great transfers and competent coaches. Nevada lost a lot and are probably another year away but Alford is a competitive guy. It’s also just a matter of time before Otzelburger has UNLV toward the top of the conference...

Well for the Wyoming game it should be strength against strength and weakness against weakness. Our potent offense against their dominant defense and their inept offense against our mash unit defense. They can still run the ball though. Afraid theyll run it down our throats all games and hold our O...

Yeah, not sure when I last saw someone out rebound their opponent by 25. Well now that I look it up, the Utes out-rebounded MVSU by 40 the other night. Too bad they are too scared to play us every year.

Re: USU -6 against Wyoming

As of now, Wyoming is a better football team than Fresno . It will take a much better game on our side to win this game . Go Ags. Suspect you have a valid point here gomretat.... From watching the Boise game, Wyoming is much more disciplined than Fresno State. The Bulldogs made some mistakes that h...

Or at home against Wyoming in the last game. Not sure which is the more likely loss for the zoomies.

Re: We ALWAYS miss field goals in that situation

On that last field goal I probably would have left 7-8 seconds rather than 2. If it’s a bad snap or something I just down it and you still have time to try again. As it was with only 2 tics left, you have to execute perfectly. Luckily we did. On the other hand, you do run the risk of leaving 2-3 se...

If our football team is a blue collar program our basketball team is a facemask program! I would not be surprized if Newbold or Nate Harris wore a mask. Although I do not specifically remember it, it is not difficult for me to imagine either of them wearing one, especially Tyler Newbold. I think I ...

Re: Fresno State is an interesting match-up

I actually think we will right the ship a bit this week and get a win at Fresno. Offense was able to move the ball against Provo and I don’t expect as many turnovers on our part. I think we’ll finish 3-1 down the stretch.

Good find Thunder!

I dare say there probably isn’t anyone in the country that ends up on their backside as often as Sam after driving to the basket. Amazing how many of those he actually finishes.

Re: Queta update: no update

From what we were told, Queta had a combination of a sprained knee and dislocated knee cap. A run of the mill sprain is likely 4 weeks and a dislocated knee cap is around 6 weeks. His could have been a more severe category of sprain. If any type of surgery is needed for either of these injuries, it ...

I’m thinking Marco Anthony may slide into the starting lineup somewhere. I think we could use his athleticism.

How does an opposing team defend or attack this potential lineup? (using the traditional 1-5 position tags) 1- Bairstow 6'8 2- Merrill 6'5 3- Bean 6'7 4- Queta 7'0 5- Karwowski 7'2 I think I’d probably swap out Bean for Miller or Brito. With two bigs like that roaming the paint you’d want a couple ...

If Queta and Kuba are both out who starts at the 5 for the short term. Box score showed Stall started tonight but is Dorius the better option, or going small and play Bean and Anderson together?

Bairstow’s stat line backs up what we’ve been hearing about him being a great all around player. What position did he play tonight? I’d say our offense has more potential and upside than Wyoming’s. We played in bad weather and had a bad case of the dropsies and still beat the Pack by 26. It was a bit cold outside but I wouldn't say the weather was bad. It didn't rain or snow during the game and it wasn't windy. It was actually ...
