Like last year with the mass exodus with a new coach that turned out pretty well. Give the new coach a chance before thinking the sky is falling.

Re: Tod Kowalczyk - Announcement on Tuesday
I'm not a fan of Odom (pussy) ball so if TK's teams play that way. No thanks! So you don’t like the way that Creighton and Marquette play? I havent watched either team this year. Do they play pussy ball like Odom's teams? If so, no. I watched Odom's team play last night. No defense. No boxing out. ...

I am guessing most are just waiting to see who the new coach will be. I guarantee they are being contacted by teams without being in the portal yet.

Wardle is a very good coach and would be a very solid candidate.AggiePharm wrote: ↑Today, 3:11 pmWhy not Brian Wardle instead? He followed Kowalczyk at Green Bay and took them to an even higher peak. Then he moved to Bradley and has won 20+ games in 5 of 7 years in a significantly better conference (MVC) than the MAC.

Re: Tod Kowalczyk - Announcement on Tuesday
I'm confused why people were excited about Simon, who also has zero tournament appearances, and less wins over a shorter career than Kowalcyzk. I, for one, think that this is a fantastic hire. You shouldn't be confused. People have given their reasons a hundred times, you just don't like them. No, ...

Re: For those who are freaking out about Kowalczyk
I'm going to hold off judging on this occasion especially since USU hit three straight times. I didn't think the last three coaches would be as successful as they were. Craig Smith coached South Dakota and never coached an NCAA tournament game before he came here. Odom coached one which was a more ...

Re: W-L Stats on Tod Kowalczyk
What is his philosophy on playing non-conference games against teams with hats in the mall? Be interesting to see how aggressive he is in OOC scheduling and how it will differ being at USU in the west instead of the upper midwest. I actually liked his most recent OOC schedule this last year . https...

Re: For those who are freaking out about Kowalczyk
Aggie fans are bipolar. Either we are down in the dumps or we think we Coach K (from Duke) would come out of retirement to coach us. Man has a great track record. Maybe better than any of the last 3 coaches who came here. Let's see how he does. Not Coach K, but someone better than this Toledo coach...

Re: W-L Stats on Tod Kowalczyk
This level of consistent winning is very encouraging and impressive. But a bunch of regular season championships is not the standard at Utah State anymore. What happens in March is what matters most. Hopefully with more resources and a better conference he’ll elevate to a new level himself. But I’m...

Re: Tod Kowalczyk - Announcement on Tuesday
Just some context. Stew prior to coming here had a record of 218-138 for win % of 61%. Tod has 409 wins as a head coach and a 58% winning record. We have never hired a coach that has as much prior success as Tod. I wanted Simon and thought he was the best candidate but its not like the Aggies are hi...

What are the red flags you see? Tod has been a head coach for 22 years and has over 400 career wins. The guy can obviously coach. Certainly not a sexy up an coming pick but its not like the guy has not had success.ImportAggie wrote: ↑Today, 12:46 pmIm concerned. Lot of red flags here, but will support him if true.

Re: Tod Kowalczyk - Announcement on Tuesday
Tod is a great coach in the regular season as shown from his regular season titles but not fared well in conference tournaments or NIT. Hopefully at USU he can get over that hump. For sure a different hire than our last 3 as he is on the downward side in terms of how many years he probably has left ...

I was as well. I like that he was younger and most importantly coached/recruited in Utah/west which i think is huge key/advantage. Tod is still a really solid candidate just thought Todd longer term was better.

Andy Hill is in Washington with DS wearing purple and gold. I doubt it’s him. Unfortunately, I kind of liked him https://twitter.com/JGlenn_UW/status/1773208714339635219 It's 100% NOT Andy Hill. If Todd Simon is the coach and everyone leaves, where are you starting from a roster building standpoint? He doesn’t have superstars to bring with him like Danny did. Are we just pulling some average players from Bowling Green and then getting what we can from the portal? TK, Todd, and Hill are all...

These announcers don't know what they're talking about. Saying that you Utah has one of the best home court atmospheres. What have they been seeing they had damn curtains in there to cover up half the stadium.

He’s been a lead assistant at Utah, New Mexico, and Montana State. Very good recruiter. I know he’s an assistant but I think he is more that qualified. I think he will do an excellent job. We will be hiring a new coach next year again. Those are all great things but why hasn't he gotten a job at li...

Let’s go!! I believe this gives us a great shot at retaining our players and commits!! Player retention should be near the bottom of the list of priorities for hiring a coach. These players won’t be here 3-4 years from now but the coach will be. Agreed, Andy doesn't move the needle for me but I cer...

Impressed with the recruiting. The 2 guys we brought in seem ready to play. Let's have an open competition! Re: Interesting Blue A Collective Article
One could argue the unlimited transfers will have the most impact or at least as much impact as NIL does. It was dumb a player had to sit out a year before transferring. I did think that the 1 time transfer was fairly reasonable unless the player was graduated but now unless they change it back is j...
