Re: Boise fighting the MWC

I’m confused as to why Colorado State should get to go to a bigger conference. What have they done in the past years that Utah State hasn’t? Is it simply based on facilities? I would think Air Force is more likely to leave with Boise. I would think that makes sense too. Wasn't it the AFA coach that...

Re: Boise fighting the MWC

If the MW caves, the Boise game essentially becomes a money game for everyone else that plays them in the conference. You've been paid for them to win. How we get the money is different than the LSU check, but not really.

What are the odds BYU takes Boise's vacated spot if the spuds leave? Who else would be a decent addition? New Mexico State.... isn't.... Zero. BYU isn’t going to join without Boise State. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk What do you bet that BYU and Boise are in joint talks with the AAC? BYU and ...

Re: CSU/The Future

Here's my struggle with the "we're not athletic enough" argument. We didn't lose our games this year because we weren't athletic enough, with the exception of SDSU, we lost them because we had a low effort, low urgency, lousy streaky shooting and a bunch of injuries. We didn't get blown out at AFA o...

Re: Boise fighting the MWC

I'll be honest, I'd rather them leave and we get less money, than to play on unequal terms. Giving them all those resources puts everyone else in the conference at a big disadvantage. We can't grow if we're giving away revenue to our biggest conference rival. They know this, they know as long as it'...

Re: Boise fighting the MWC

The rest of the mountain west just have to beat Boise at football for a couple of years and all their leverage/attraction is gone. They won't have anything. Beat them on the football field and they will be just like the rest of us. Easier said than done though. Especially when they get 4 times more...

Re: Boise fighting the MWC

I'm not an attorney, but I've read the lawsuit though and I think Boise wins. I’m interested in why you think that. Keep in mind the MW hasn’t breeched any agreement to pay Boise State. They owe them $1.8 million plus an equal distribution and Boise State has been paid that. The Mountain West may s...

Sorry RMH, LSU is a monster this year. Clemson had a great year and will be right back at the top next year with Lawrence at QB.

Sad time of year when college football is over.

The spread is up to 9.5. If Nevada loses, as expected, it will be a drag for their fans though not much of a game changer for a team picked to finish in the middle of the MW. But if USU loses? Yikes!!!
If USU loses tonight to make it 4 straight, I think this board might implode.

UConn has been pretty much one of the worst FBS teams the last few years. Not impressed. However that does mean it is winnable. “Not impressed.” Huh? This is a great non conference home & home. It’s a great scheduling job done by the AD. I mean I am glad we got an American team, but they are at the...

I make all football and about half the basketball. It takes me just under two hours to get there. If kick or tip off is right after rush hour it's longer. Based on the traffic coming up the canyon, it's quite a good number.

You know what's impressive? He didn't have a losing season at SDSU. Nine straight winning seasons. Crazy they didn't let him just do his thing. He had 5 winning, five losing and one. 500 year at UNM. Should tell you all you need to know about resources and location.

Sounds like I picked a good game to miss. Did Dorius or Kuba play when Queta was on the bench? Kuba played 42 seconds to close out the game - about 1/3 the time of what Grootfam played. I think the hardest thing for me is watching the negative body language and what I perceive to be a lack of effort. If you play hard and just get beat by a better team, that is one thing. When you don't put in the effort and hang your head, that is another. This team is soft. It is unathletic. Nobo...

The team we've seen the last few games isn't even going to the tournament so we don't need to worry about it until they start playing better. We're down 20+ to AF. A team that we should dominate if we are what everyone says we are.

Re: A Shot Doctor May Cure Ags' Shooting Woes

One of the biggest differences between this year's team and last year's was that last year's team did a much better job of shooting the ball. This year's team is nearly 6% below last year's team in TS%, which is arguably the best measure of how efficient a player (or team) is scoring as the metric ...

Not sure we're going to see Kuba for a while. I was at the UNLV game, I'm not sure how much was caught on TV, but there was a bit of frustration from Coach Smith regarding Kuba. There were a couple of defensive series where Kuba got worked pretty good. Smith called a time out and before joining the ...

Makes me wonder how big of a loss was Quinn Taylor. Guy was mature, older player - a steadying force. Queta and Bean are young and are still figuring it out together. I feel like we're missing that veteran leadership.

Nice! We’re gonna need all we can get from Warren, Noa, and whatever grad transfer RB we bring in.

Also, wondering if recruiting priorities will change with a change in OC?
We still have Enoch Nawahine, right?
Sure do. I don't think we lack talent at the RB position, just experience.

Re: Lack of effort

The ball didn't cause this loss. We lost because UNLV played with more "G.A.T.A.". Question is where is that get after it effort we were promised? You want to look at a stat that shows why we lost, look at rebounding. 41-29. Rebounding is 90% effort, we didn't have any last night.
