Re: Queta Draft Buzz
There’s a lot of haters here. Statistically he is having one of the best years of his career and he is projected to get drafted by most big boards. I think we are starting to get used to his success. NBA still uses big men but not like they used to. They used to have them back down and score but now...

It also looks like they have moved Sam from the 2 to the 1 position. I believe they are a little deeper in the 1 and it would explain why Sam may see a decrease in minutes as well.

Defense was solid. Wasn’t used in the offense at all. He was thrown one errant pass and that was pretty much it!ThunderAggie wrote: ↑December 24th, 2020, 11:09 amSo what happened when he was in? Did he just not touch the ball a lot...also how was his defense?

Don’t know who/how he heard this...but according to Brennan McFadden, the quote from Cockett was, “I have two concerns about Frank being the next head coach. First, he’s from the state of Utah , and secondly him being of Mormon Faith.” I’ve heard from a different direct source something totally dif...

The step back three he hit was nasty
I think he played great in the minutes he had. Blocked a shot, got to his spots, didn’t look hectic!

Why would religion be brought up in the first place? Even if she didn’t express negative views towards his religion the fact that it was even brought up is alarming to me

This a dumb topic. He had 18 and 8 against a 7'3 dude ( and didn't have a break the 2nd half) and you are criticizing him. There are much bigger problems....like Bean getting 6 points and averaging single digit points. I totally agree. We are really criticizing our leading scorer? :headscratch: Yes...

Re: Refs were awful
I understand saying that we had the opportunities and lost that game (that's true). But with 1:00 left and a tie ball game, everything goes out the window. In that 1 minute, there were two HUGE calls that were missed and NOT EVEN REVIEWED. Worster shot puts us up 1. His stepping out of bounds gives ...

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's the right call after the heat of the moment has worn off. Worster is fouled as he's going for the ball. Bang-bang play. Easily not one of the worst 3 calls tonight. I dont know what you are looking at? You are saying he had enough time for a bang bang play to happen befo...

Re: So who do you hope it is?
For me, it comes down to recruiting. Frank knows how to recruit Logan. He also wasn't afraid to get after players and actually pushed a few away from the program which I think is an overall good thing. The team seems to be in better spirits and you wonder how much those guys were bringing everything...

Well regardless the question still remains. The past two years we have seen complete meltdowns against Boise and now VCU because we can’t deal with the press. Any idea why?ineptimusprime wrote: ↑November 26th, 2020, 1:48 pmYes. Smith’s teams have handled the press better than Stew’s teams.

Breaking the press
It seems that Coach Smith’s teams have always had trouble breaking the press. I remember Stew had a few full court plays he would run in case we saw the press and it always seemed to work. Any reason why we haven’t introduced some plays into our inbounds package? It seems like our only plan is to in...

I think from everything I have heard from practice that Rollie is going to be a lot bigger deal In this team than we currently think. If it’s true that he is starting as a true freshman than Coach Smith knows his potential.

I know that we have often talked about how important athleticism is in the MW. Does anyone have insight as to how athletic these guys are? Will they be able to guard the more athletic guards around the conference?
