Now I am going to be on the lookout for the people that actually have a rank. I had to quickly go find a post from AKAggie to make sure he was ranked appropriately.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑February 26th, 2021, 9:41 amI gave you a Rank of Mr. Buttface so that it can forever appear beneath your name.

Re: Sam in the G League
So in 6 quarters of G League ball, Merrill has the following: 49 minutes played 12 points 5/18 from the field 1/9 from three 4 rebounds 7 assists 2 steals 3 turnovers At least the assist:turnover ratio looks good. Throw away the first game and this game looks great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Call me crazy, but I'd rather my 82-year-old grandmother who has been patiently waiting for her chance to get the vaccine have the opportunity to get it before some perfectly healthy 20-year-old college athletes just so I can be entertained for a few days in March. Quite frankly, this mentality sho...

for the collective mental health of the country and not having to miss two NCAA tournaments in a row, why are student athletes not considered "essential" and all of them get vaccinated? We are currently vaccinating around 1-2M people per day in the US. In 2017-18, there were about 500k student athle...

Re: Net rankings
BYU is top 30 as of today. That pushes our loss to them to quad 1 loss. This actually kindof brings up a potential perverse recursive bump in the NET rankings. A team reaching Q1 could cause another teams to bump from a Q3 to a Q2, which would in turn look better for the Q1 team, which in turn woul...

Has the MWC ever had 4 in the top 50 of NET, RPI, or other rankings? I know it has had three teams in the tournament before, but wonder what the rankings looked like when that happened.

The optimist in me tells me that we can beat anybody if we don't have the yips. Our defense is also good enough to keep us in games even when we have the yips. It reminds me of a poem from a book called My American Heritage that my dad used to read to our family that had classic poems and short lite...

Re: Fouls - or Lack thereof?
Seems like an over correction from the MWC in this game. UNLV is full extension pushing off and only one offensive foul this game. At least 3 pointers where UNLV has pushed off to clear space. Trash shooting on our end, but these refs aren’t calling anything now. How about the full body tackle when...

Re: Dropped to 48 in the NET
THIS is why the NCAA needs to make the NET rating transparent. If we could see the formula we could figure out why the NET is over-valuing Colgate, and why SDSU moved up 10 spots by blowing out Air Force twice while their OOC opponents moved down in NET this week. You didn't hear? Conspiracy theori...

I still think Worster has a nagging injury. About 5-6 games ago he came up gimpy from a fall. It seemed to last the rest of the game. Maybe something is still bothering him?

I saw a quote from Craig Smith saying as good as Miller was offensively, he was even better defensively. How does that reconcile to the general consensus on this board that he is a poor defender. Is it just that the bar is that low, or is he better than most on this board give him credit for? I've ...

Yeah Boise has looked very good. I have loved how we have looked, but they are the team to beat for now. Kindof crazy how they have parlayed their football success into basketball success. There aren't a ton of school who seem to be good at both. I think they have been getting much better at bball ...

I realize that everyone exaggerates physical measurement, but he would be lucky to measure 6’3” in long cleats on cement with his helmet on. There have been successful NFL QBs lately that are shorter (Brees and Wilson), but I think he is almost on the left tail of the current distribution https://go...

He has a third gear the Porter didn't have.
I think an underrated aspect of his game is that he is always talking (not in the trash talking sense). I know that coaches always preach on-court communication, but he is a player that I always feel like they are actually doing it.

3.5 more years of Worster and Ashworth could be touting this as one of the best backcourts in USU history. We have had some pretty good duos over the years, but we have two freshmen (one a true freshman) playing well beyond their basketball years. I know, I know. There is a lot of proving that has t...

What is a good defense against their offense? Do we go small and try to run with them? Do we go big and deny cuts and backdoors, and force then to beat is with mid-range jumpers and beyond? I love b-ball, but don’t have enough technical knowhow to know how one defends their offense. That being said,...
