Re: Spring Ball

Back to Spring Ball... how big is the QB battle going to be? I thought Colombi had it locked up but by the sounds of it, Peasley could make a run at it. I would be shocked if Peasley is even close to a full participant in spring ball. Modern medicine has definitely helped speed up the recovery from...

Re: Proposed Transfer rule change

It works both ways. We could lose some, but will get players from p5 as well that are not getting as much playing time there. Certainly seem to be on to something here 84025, and the axe could swing freely in the forest with this one. The term I would use for this proposed transfer rule is UNINTEND...

Re: Sheriff Woody

Looking at last year's roster page and I'm seeing Ena as the inside LB coach and nobody coaching outside LB's. I assume that wasn't actually the case? Since we didn't play with outside backers last year that was the case. Bojay coached the defensive ends. this year he will coach the outside backers.

Guys, our recruits either: (1) have to be recruited by Stacy Collins; (2) be a former Utah player; or (3) be related to a member of the coaching staff. Unless at least one of those qualifications is met, there’s at least a 95% chance they aren’t signing here. Except our two highest rated recruits t...

I’m saying I have reason to believe we’re going to bring another impactful running back. If that happens the position would probably be 4 deep. Barring injuries if that’s the case I think you’ll maybe see Noa redshirt.
Agreed!

Re: Analysis of 2020 Recruiting Class

It wouldn't surprise me to see Noa end up redshirting next season, actually. I think we're still going pretty hard after a grad transfer or JC running back. If we can land the right guy I think you'll see Noa or Gentry maybe redshirt. Also, there's still plenty of time to bring in grad transfers. A...

I would guess atleast a couple of grad transfer/jc guys. The grad transfers would be immediately eligible guys.

I’ve seen conflicting reports on his size. Is he 5’11”, 5’8”, or somewhere inbetween? Based upon the picture from his baptism closer to 5’8”. I see Britain covey in that picture and they appear about the same height. Then chase Hansen (who is baptizing him) towers above him. https://mobile.twitter....

Yeah, we're getting Gentry. This is awesome! I'd take Gentry over DHC every single day if I had to pick one.
I 100% agree! Gentry is a better back and we get at least 3 years out of him.

I am extremely hopeful and optimistic we land gentry. I also really like taequan tyler a jc running back out of texas that is warm on us. Some food for thought in my opinion if we land Gentry then Warren could potentially drop to 3rd on the depth chart. Gentry and noa are that good!

Bowl games are negotiated separately from TV contracts. ESPN owns 80% of the bowl games. They will in no way be affected.

I could actually see us with early, early kickoffs. Fox is pushing hard to get teams to do the 12 noon est kickoffs. The Pac12 has pushed back against because it would be a 9 a.m. kickoff for the majority of their teams. I could honestly see the MWC taking these spots.

Am I wrong to be concerned that we keep going back to short guys at CB? Tall CB's aren't that easy to find and if any team that has good taller CB's are very lucky to have them.
