Re: New commit - 2019 WR Sean Carter

I like him! Reminds me of a young Tarver. Between the two Carters, Scarver, Mariner, our favorite Jordan Nathan, Tompkins and Heckstall, looks like Love will have plenty of targets to throw to next year. ...and Lampkin too - it is looking better  btw, is it me or does it seem like we have lot...

Re: New commit - 2019 WR Sean Carter

Maybe Carter's on both sides now?

Interesting.... :headscratch: so we beat out NMSU for his services?
I like his size, looks like he lined up on the outside in JC but I would see him as a possession type receiver at this level.

Re: 2019 Athletic Department Road Trip

The very fetching Mrs. LKGates and I attended the Portland road show. I'd guess about 15 - 20 in attendance. It was a great opportunity to interact one on one with the AD folks. No big surprises; nothing that hasn't been reported elsewhere on this thread. They mentioned that there are 1,500 alumni ...

Like Queta? People aren't overstating how talented McChesney and Bairstow are. Both are very likely going to be impact players all 4 years Yep, exactly like Queta. I hope they pan out and become big contributors. I don't expect either one to have anywhere near the impact that Queta did as a true fr...

Re: Projecting Next Season's Depth Chart

Until I see our "best recruiting class" perform against MWC level competition I am not ready to crown them anything other than a collection foreign projects that haven't played against the best competition to this point.

Any word on Klay Stall and his recovery? If healthy and Queta leaves I think he'll be in the running for the starting job. If Queta remains in the draft, the coaching staff will try and bring in a grad transfer big man. A grad transfer would expect immediate playing time so this tells me they see K...

At this point Stall, Grootfaam, and dare I say it...........the two Summit League recruits, Fakira and Knight, are all possibilities of moving on. From what the coaching staff has said, it sounds like Grootfaam is going to get a chance to show what he can do so he may be safe. I personally think Fa...

Re: Projecting Next Season's Depth Chart

IF we take a guard in this class, as it currently stands he will NOT be in next year's rotation. As the great Norman Dale once said, "my team is on the floor." Not gonna lie, I am a little disappointed that the staff feels this way. I understand wanting to be loyal and instill confidence in the guy...

Reading John's posts were like reading from the Book of Isaiah. You had to have a pure Aggie heart to understand. Bahaha! This is exactly how I felt. Some of these are hilarious....games on national TV? There is very little difference between any of the MWC teams and games on national TV. Let me be perfectly clear. I think USU should do whatever it can to keep Coach Smith long term. But let me play devil's advocate for a minute. He has coached one season, mostly with his predecessor's recruits. Granted, it was a great season, and he very clearly exceeded expectations. But perhaps we...

Either one could have been a 7th rounder or FA signee after their Sr. season and been sitting in the same seat as they are right now. Yes, they would be 1 year older in next year's draft but being a year younger didn't pay off for them this year so it's hard to argue that they made the right choice ...

The team looked great except the offensive line. They gave up 5 or 6 sacks and couldn't block for our running backs. I think we expected that he and possibly Queta would put their names in, not hire an agent, and then both return. I think it's good for both of them to get the exposure and experience but I don't think either are in any position to be in high demand in this year's draft.
