Interesting. I did not know that.

Re: New Commit

Call me cautiously pessimistic on this signing. Brayden Bell comes to mind based on his limited usage and very poor stats at Virginia after being a highly touted high school player. Interesting that Virginia was his only big conference offer.

Hopefully he proves me wrong.

https://usustatesman.com/utah-state-basketball-recruiting-craig-smith-carson-bischoff/ I was wondering why weren't using the last scholarship. It's about time someone wrote something about it. Do we "recruit" walkons or do they come over here and audition? Just curious to how that works. Both. We s...

Re: Why editing is important

This is an instance of the article saying the exact opposite of what was intended: It is far from the realm of possibility for Smith to bring in an impact player in the middle of or even late in the summer. Neemias Queta signed with Utah State on August 29, a mere two months prior to the 2018 seaso...

We are a good enough team once again that we don't need to prostitute ourselves out to the "mighty Utes".

Re: Aggie legends podcast with David Collette is up

I think he would’ve used the transfer portal before the exhibition games, maybe even during the summer based on his recounting of the events. What he didn’t want to do was quit without a landing spot so yes, with Utah’s help, they broke the rules. I would love for someone in the media to do their d...

Yep. He said he broke NCAA rules by having friends and family members contact the U. They in turn reciprocated that contact and offered him a scholarship illegally. We all knew that was the case, but now that he's no longer an NCAA athlete he freely admits it. The podcast guys even tried to give him...

They have said in the past that they tried to give the best teams in the conference the highest chance to get a good RPI rating. In other words, the teams who were expected to be the best in the conference would only face the teams who were expected to be worst once per year. That obviously was not ...

If, as reported, the staff is looking for a future P G they had better get rocking. Certainly the college basketball player inventory routinely changes, but hoping for a good athletic and locker room fit and not moving toward a real solution isn't solving any problems. Waiting another season before...

And yes, most of what Ken does is simply based on mathematical simulations based on years and years of data. According to Ken's site, we were one of, if not the most surprising team last year. Finishing where we did compared to where we were supposed to finish at the start of the season (by his metrics) was nothing short of a miracle. So if we're starting this year at 48 in his book, who knows? Maybe we'll...

I agree regarding Kuba's tape, but I wonder how much the lower level of competition he faced plays into the highlights. Did anyone see a Modou Niang tape from his days in Japan?
