I moved Javon Jackson to the walkon list (per aggies22). If he is not granted a scholarship next year we are still over by two scholarships. Will be interesting to see who leaves.

Re: Net drops 9 spots to 39
The NET and KenPom know our deep, dark secret — that we’re a plucky band of overachievers. Without Darius Brown’s late game heroics that saved us on multiple occasions, we aren’t even an NCAA tournament team. Really, guys. Go look at a bracket projection and tell me one matchup you like for us on t...

The interesting thing is that this model has almost ask of the really bad P5 schools 15-40 spots lower than the NET, and where I have argued most of them deserve to be. https://media2.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExM2c3YmE3bm1namdobnJ5NzBtNWVjaGxxd3JuYTlxM2RkeDd6NG15bCZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZf...

If you want to make a Montana St. comparison, Danny was an exceptional player for them and brought them two conference titles in the Big Sky as a coach. He clearly did more for that program than it did for him. Here, Danny has become a household name in 10 months at USU and will likely be leaving b...

Right we have to win out now for the 1st seed. On the other hand as gaurentee ourself a share of the regular season title with just one win, which would not be the case if Boise won last night. We don't have to win out for the 1 seed, but the other thing you said is correct. If we win tonight or on...

They do a good job of trying to make it as neutral of a court as possible even though it's UNLV's home venue.

Well what happens in this scenario: - Utah State beats San Jose State but loses to New Mexico (13-5 Record) - Nevada beats UNLV (13-5 Record) - Boise State beats SDSU (13-5 Record) Nevada has the tiebreaker over us, but we have the tiebreaker over Boise State, and Boise State split their games with...

I have a couple of questions about the bracketologists.com website: 1. When (what time) do the rankings update every morning? Is it consistent day-to-day? 2. In addition to what others have said, you can't look at our NET ranking in a vacuum. Sure we underperformed yesterday and that hurt us. In addition to that though, teams behind us overperformed and passed us. Texas was a 3.5 point dog on the road in a Q1 game and won by 12...they passed us. Villano...

Re: The Net rankings are losing my trust
The formula is secret, but I highly doubt that it gives more weight to recent performance. A team's record in the last 10 games used to be an item on the selection committee's Nitty Gritty Report, but they removed it a while back. Now the committee is instructed to weight all games equally. See, fo...

Disagree! I’ll give you Steven Ashworth. Mason was a p5 commit! Jalen had offers. And well, I think we all know of Sam’s talent. Yes Utah does not produce a ton of talent compared to other states… But you are aware Utah has 2 P5 schools currently correct? If you mean 5 star or McDonalds all America...

Does anyone really feel bad for the Red Wave, the CSU student section, or the Hurd after a loss? Win and you can gloat and do "winning team, losing team." Lose and your opponent can run around the court, taunting the opposing fans. Seems perfectly fair both ways. I loved the way Lucas celebrated, a...
