I realize the “no outside food” is not a new thing, but it has never been enforced. Oleblu (aka the police chief in charge of cheap person identifier) will disapprove of this post. However, the clear bag policy makes it a lot less enticing to bring young kids to the game. Kids want to eat snacks co...

With Tennessee now selling beer and wine. That means more than half the SEC and ACC are doing it. Should USU have a beer stand ? Would the MT west ever do this. UNLV is in a NFL stadium now. I don’t know if this should be a new thread, but we should put who our All-Wells team would be. Make a starting lineup of players that played at USU while Wells was the head coach. Here’s mine: QB - Jordan Love RB - Devonte Mays or Darwin Thompson WR - Tarver WR- Hunter Sharp Slot -Jojo Natson (sor...

Re: A look at the Strengths & Weaknesses of the Wells regime

I never thought Wells was a great game manager. He never seemed to master how to use timeouts effectively. I remember being so frustrated when he'd go into "don't lose mode" and we'd slowly watch our leads evaporate. Me, too. One thing in particular that bugged me is he seemed to be more aggressive...

I like this list and think I agree with it for the most part. One little thing I would add, perhaps under the 'interview' sub-bullet, is that he was good with fans. Well, at least with me. I guess I've heard some here talk about a bad interaction with him. But I went to the coaches show at the Cafe...

I'm a little worried about the offense, but the good news is Love works through his progressions and throws really quickly. He doesn't hold the ball long. He's also really accurate. WRs are going to find the ball right where they want it. If we can run the ball consistently (get 3 yards when we nee...

Good assessment, but one of the things that I think was brought up more than once was Well's ability to hire and keep assistants. There are some things I don't think GA does very well, but he is very good at putting players in the best position for them to succeed. He's especially good at this, IMO.
