Re: Two years in a row...
I agree, they made sone great plays. Our defense was not great at times but they made some tough shots. For them to shoot 74% in a half is amazing. Count in for both games they were like 36/40 from the free throw line when on the season they shot 72%. Not to mention friggin RayJ who shoots 20% from...

Re: Looking ahead to next year
Does it seem like every team in our conference but Aur Force gets more P5 transfers in a year than USU gets in a decade? We have had 4 that i can think of since the 90s. Yeah it almost felt like playing the avengers against Boise. Everywhere you look a transfer from somewhere was killing us. Our bi...

Yeah I know people who have gotten it twice, 5-6 months later. It's usually not as severe the 2nd time for most people but still contagious obviously

Re: Bean & Queta Scoring #'s
Bean hit 28% last season from 3, he's only taken 25 of them this year in 18 games... Don't think you need to even bother telling a guy taking 1.5 3s a game to stop shooting is my point Yes he's not there to rebound his 1-2 3s a game, but with Queta, Anthony, etc. We still have guys capable of grabb...

Re: If Dorius played as much as Queta, what would the stats for Dorius look like
The advanced defense stats (well dRTG) like Dorius more than Queta. Albeit small sample size, but I think him being an active 7 footer who can rebound and get in passing lanes/block shots makes him a very valuable backup to Queta.

Re: Bean & Queta Scoring #'s
I actually think Bean needs to keep shooting the 3 for a few reasons. 1. I think the shots will start to fall. It doesn't look as bad as the numbers say, it actually looks like a nice shot and many are close misses/rimming out, and if he's being left wide open he can prob hit it 25-30% in a larger ...

Re: Brock Miller, The 44% Volume 3-Point Shooter
That cannot be true. I have it on good authority that he sucks. You just wait until he plays a big game, or on the road, you will see he will regress to the mean (what ever that means). :stirpot: Well to be fair, he wasn’t very good the last few years. This season he’s been much better Sent from my...

Re: Awkwardly effective
Completely spot on. He's so unorthodox but at the same time he's a 6'5 guard who can handle the ball, get to the rim, rebound well and is effective defensively, also a good team player and leader. The only down side is he likely will never be the "Sam replacement" on offense we were hoping for when ...

His outside shot is nice, but he shouldn't put the ball on the floor... too slow to get by anyone more often than not. Needs to work on his quickness. Gives us a nice 3 pt threat off the bench though

Re: What do you guys think of Ashworth and Quayle comparison?
I actually think it is a fairly good comparison. The way Ashworth fights for rebounds and loose balls is very reminiscent of Quayle. I think his offensive game will prove to be even more dynamic, but time will tell. Was also thinking how good of a rebounder Ashworth is for his size tonight, he goes...

Realistically we matchup well against them, Queta should have a field day
Depends how well they shoot the 3, they can keep themselves in any game like we saw against SDSU

Re: Ashworth and Miller
You can see a lot of "Sam" in Ashworth. He has great instinct, nice shot, great handles, plays tough D. If he was Sam's height he would've likely had several high major offers. Duke tried to get him to walk on Either way he looks like he's gonna end up a USU all timer when all is said and done after...

He's been so much better in conference play. You can tell he can sometimes over thinks things too much out there, but his offensive ability is a game changer. He really was our 2nd best offensive player after Sam last season until midway through the year when I think he lost some confidence from mis...

We definitely pass the eye test lately. Ball movement in the 1st half was awesome. A little sloppier in 2nd half, but the defense was great again all night

Meh. Gave us 2 days notice we were playing a high press team, running 2 freshman at PG....and blew a double digit late 2nd half lead. Most disappointed that Anderson and Anthony were almost invisible out there, when we really need both to step up to replace Sam offensively. During the drought it kil...

After looking through that thread, I think only one person said we were a cupcake game and he got called out for it
Some people are just dumb. I think we should beat them, depends how good Anthony is right off the bat and the young guards, but could be double digits

Most able to hit the most important shot at the end of the game: To be determined. All the qualities are there to be very good, but who is the player that steps up to take those game winning shots? Appears MLB is going to make it. A few knuckleheads could still shut it down, but most players are being very sensible. A couple morons on the Indians broke protocol last week and the team simply demoted them from the active roster. 2 good pitchers too, Clevinger and Plesac It was an ultra douche m...

The good news is with the size of the rosters and staff, basketball SHOULD be much easier to contain and control than football. With football there are just so many guys to test, to trace, to manage, to trust not to go out the night before being in the same locker room with 85 other guys, etc. With ...
