Re: 2024-25 Roster & Commits
Honestly these days it doesn’t matter much. Grant is a big body and at least has experience with the team, he’s probably more valuable to us than a HS recruit who will redshirt, although I hope Calhoun finds a way to bring in Dynes for the backup C spot. Unless there’s a way to get both Hill and Wyn...

Re: Current State of USU Basketball
After assessing how things have transpired this week and trying to do as much research as I can, this is my PREDICTION as to who stays, who is going, and who is on the fence. If at any time I have reason to believe that my prediction needs to be altered I will do so. Nigel Burris - Stays at Utah St...

Back to Albury, super impressive highlight tape. Different style of game from Brown for sure, he can get to the hoop against anyone and has way more length. If he can keep his shooting numbers up he will be a great scorer for us

Those who bash Templin would have cut Justin Bean, Abel Porter, Max Shulga, Isaac Johnson, Mason Falslev, and etc. Bad comparison. Almost all of those players developed at much older ages than Templin currently is, except for Shulga. Everyone else benefited from redshirt years and/missions. No one ...

Re: Potential Portal Point Guards
We almost surely need 2 PGs in the portal right? We were counting on the incoming freshman Hill to pick up a lot of minutes, any idea if Barnes can handle the Javon role from last year right off the bat? That depends on if Martinez is coming back. You might role with one transfer and Barnes if you ...

Re: What would be interesting, mostly good but slightly bad
There would eventually be some disappointment in not getting to a sweet 16 I’d think, I bet even SDSU fans are a little disappointed their generational run was ended by an all time UConn team, and then they got smoked again by them in the s16 the next year You gotta learn to enjoy the ride, be it ea...

Re: UCONN has contacted Great
Isn’t UConn losing a couple post guys to the NBA? I could see them rolling out the red carpet for Great but the question will be who else will they bring in at the 4/5, and will Great be more of a 20 minute per game guy there which could hurt his NBA stock a little. There are a lot of good reasons f...

I've been reserving my take on "the other" DJ Burns until I had the time to find some other game footage of him outside of highlights. So here goes my likely unpopular opinion. I honestly think he would struggle at this level. He is not very athletic and is very stiff and rigid in his movements. I ...

Dedan is a mommas boy who didn’t want to leave Vegas to play. At the very least I don’t think a school can absolutely guarantee Great that he will be able to receive what they’re offering. I’m sure USU will promise him X amount and do their absolute best to make sure money makes it to him if eligible but ultimately the uncertainty might be what keeps him at USU

This is why I have high hopes for Burns if he comes. 6’7 wing/forward who can rebound with the best in the country and can shoot from outside, apparently a solid ball handler too.
