Re: Porter, Porter, Porter

having played ball with a bad back, I don't know how he is doing it. It affects EVERYTHING. Amazed he has stuck it out and frustrated we didn't recruit more depth at point guard for THIS year. Going to be tough in the tourney. Sam's load as a PG and SG is only going to be even more now.

Re: Can USU pull off the miracle this Saturday against #1 ranked SDSU?

Going back to the original poster's question: No we do not have a good shot of beating #1 SDSU on their home floor. Do we have a shot? Sure. But good? No, I would not say that we have a "good" shot of that. Point spread is 7.5...so we have about that much chance according to people who bet. Whatever...

Re: Justin McGriff commits

Watched all the film i could find on him. High points the ball (which is very HIGH), but is not quick in any way and if he times fast...he doesn't really show it on the field.. Runs routes like a tight end. Didn't see many break away long plays. Just jump balls that he won a lot of, as expected. Sho...

Re: One of the most frustrating games I have ever watched.

3 point shooting has been off this year with the team averaging 33 percent (last year we hit 36 percent) but so much of that is inflated by Merrill's volume and high percentage (42%). Only one other player shoots above 32 percent...Porter. The "accepted" level of shooting percentage from 3 (or the b...

US SL Aggies do care. I bought 10 tickets. So we will be there! But I go to the games up on Logan too. But I do agree. I can see it being one of the lesser Dallas Bowls, but the Texas Bowl would be huge. Payout is more than Vegas....so I don't really see that happening. But if it does, I am so there!

Agree with what was said earlier. Doesn't seem to be a problem with ticket sales, just attendance. And the Weber State game was one of the lowest "butts in the seats" games I've seen us have against them as well, so it isn't just about playing teams no one cares about. All that said, we won't be tal...

Saturday attendance wasn't awesome either. Folks are missing something special. I drive up from the Salt Lake Valley for every game and it is well worth the time. It is just the "habit" of the valley. Basketball starts in January. We will be fine then. And only have one real game and two scrimmages ...

He has good court awareness, good hands, but no strength and doesn't quite understand positioning on defense so picks up fouls quickly. Needs to learn from watching Gobert play. Sometimes a block isn't needed. Just make them take bad shots. I think he will be in foul trouble most games due to that b...

Re: Most Successful Combined Football and Basketball Season?

By winning percentage, the best year ever for the Aggies was 1917. We went 9-0 in hoops (Coach Joseph Jensen) and 7-0-1 in Football (Coach Jack Watson). For total wins 2012 was a pretty good year. 11 wins in football and 21 wins in basketball. but this only equals 32 total wins. If you look at the 2...
