Re: Bovee on attendance

Saturday attendance wasn't awesome either. Folks are missing something special. I drive up from the Salt Lake Valley for every game and it is well worth the time. It is just the "habit" of the valley. Basketball starts in January. We will be fine then. And only have one real game and two scrimmages ...

He has good court awareness, good hands, but no strength and doesn't quite understand positioning on defense so picks up fouls quickly. Needs to learn from watching Gobert play. Sometimes a block isn't needed. Just make them take bad shots. I think he will be in foul trouble most games due to that b...

Late start time Tuesday...4 tickets available (Free)

Just noticed the start time is too late for me to be making the 2 hour drive up with a very early job start on Weds. So I have 4 tickets and parking pass are available to anyone who can pick them up (I work on Salt Lake). No charge. Our seats are right above the visitor tunnel. PM me if interested. ...

It looked College of Idaho was a 6 foot and under team out there tonight. I wouldn't put too much stock into rebound numbers from this game. They were tiny.

Saying Anderson had one good year grossly diminishes how bad our program was when he was hired and the incredible job he did in changing the culture. Something many thought could never happen in Logan.

Future Game Question: Air Force

I have a brother in Colo Springs who has tickets to this game so I'm wondering...how is it being a visitor there? Also, anyone know where the visiting section is? We'd probably move over that way.

Turbin has been a victim of many injuries unfortunately. Everytime I thought "ok, now he has a shot to prove himself as a starter," he got hurt.

Stinks...but has happened to many a good back.

I wouldn't say Dax hurt himself at the Combine, but I don't think he helped himself either. He was slightly above the mean in the two shuttles and below in everything else. He did get noticed for good hands and good route running as well. The reps on the Bench due to injury makes sense, but I think ...

I enjoyed that article. Wish we had someone of that caliber on the USU beat. Thought the same thing. Fun, well written post game story. Would love to see us get some of those. I find myself reading the Statesman for post game stories more than the Tribune or DNews (I live in Salt Lake). What a win!

Re: Most Successful Combined Football and Basketball Season?

By winning percentage, the best year ever for the Aggies was 1917. We went 9-0 in hoops (Coach Joseph Jensen) and 7-0-1 in Football (Coach Jack Watson). For total wins 2012 was a pretty good year. 11 wins in football and 21 wins in basketball. but this only equals 32 total wins. If you look at the 2...

Chicago Aggie, you make some good points, but 1. You were one of the super fans that didn't miss games. We still have those. I'm talking about the other 70 percent of the student fans out there that love the Aggies but only go when they can. It was much easier back "in the day" as to tuition. A quic...

There is no way they don't make the top 15 in the top 60 on 1280. no way.

They got a lot of "Love" this year already in the media.

Watched it all again tonight. Man what a game. You could see the regular bad luck that we had been bitten by still happen, but we had the players to overcome. Like the fumble that Michael Smith returned for a first down (later negated by a penalty, but still). a shrine should be built in the North E...

Although he had the old logo on. Someone needs to ship him some new swag.

Noticeably absent is Kyler Fackrell. Does he have hard feelings or something?

I too wish we would hear more from SL media about our team, but the reason they don't talk about us as much as the others is simple math: when they talk Aggies, ratings go down, when they talk Utes and Cougars (no matter how good or bad they are) ratings go up. After the season I eagerly dropped down 5 deposits for my 5 season tickets. Heckstall had a few targets in the bowl game but looked ummm...awkward trying to catch them. Body control and reaction time to the ball were not awesome.

Granted he is young and can work his butt off between now and then, but right now he isn't ready.
