How will the new TV deal affect Bowl invites

Since the new TV deal is with FOX and CBS but ESPN owns the bowls, what happens to conference bowl tie-ins when the current contracts expire. And was the sponsorship of a bowl(s) included by FOX or CBS in the new tv deal?

Re: Mini Plans are out!

For an extra $20 you can get 6 games instead of 3. So that is what I did. Even if I can't use them all, I can give them away to friends.

Watching the Holiday Bowl

I don't consider myself a conspiracy theorist. But, while watching the game I noticed that the title sponsor for the bowl is the San Diego Community Credit Union. The same credit union that use to be the title sponsor for the Poinsettia Bowl. Both bowls were managed by one bowl committee. The last s...

My boss is a Bronco and mentioned this morning that he just bought this kind of season ticket for Boise. They are supposed to give seat assignments 2 days before a game. And cheaper than regular season tickets.

The Poinsettia bowl would be my vote, but unfortunately they closed shop last year. Maybe we could get them to start a replacement. The difficulty is the uncertain future of Qualcom stadium.

I like your thinking. Get Craig Thompson on the phone! Seriously what are our chances that the PAC-12 wouldn't try to just get another P5 conference?

By the time Karl was moving his daughter in the die was cast. His failure was in getting beat by Thompson every time they went head to head. Reference the basketball deal with the Missouri Valley Conference and letting BYU write the contract.

Hipster, I couldn't agree more with you. The one time Peanuthead was proactive (the project) he botched the execution i.e. a worthless contract.

I don't know that this is such a good deal. Effectively Utah bought our game in SLC in 2015 for $500k where BCS schools are supposed to be paying $1million per game.

Re: Interim WAC Commish

I stayed at South Pointe a couple years ago with the family and it was ok. I checked out the Arena, it reminded me of the Golden Spike Arena in Ogden. A nice equestrian facility but the floor is a little bigger than a hockey rink so I am not sure how good the site lines would be.
