Many Cache Valley folks considered Chuck rather aloof. He joined the Elks Lodge so he would have a place to get a drink and his wife never moved to the valley, if I remember correctly. But he had unflagging loyalty and respect from his assistants and players. He kept his players together for many y...

Wasn’t Tyler Newbold from Zoobieland somewhere? I think his dad was like the PA announcer for BYU football or something like that although I believe his parents were both USU grads. I may have my story mixed up but I will say it is difficult to find a more true blooded Aggie than Tyler.

Re: Should the MWC get a little pro-active in Oly sports?

I doubt Gonzaga and St. Mary's would go. Why should they? It doesn't improve their chances of getting into the tournament, and they'd have to split some of their tournament revenue with more schools. Plus they'd have to play SDSU, Nevada, USU, instead of beating up on USD, Portland, and Pepperdine. ...

At a minimum we should offer him a PWO spot and then he for sure can get a full ride academic scholarship. Seems like a person who has a lot of drive and has the potential to be really good. We got an A- for hiring BA. In contrast to Arkansas State getting an F for hiring Butch Jones. They also gave us an F when we brought back Gary for a second stint, and that turned out to be an accurate grade. John Hartwell proves once again, that he has an eye for talent. Great job Mr Hartwell, and...

Seriously, that would be hilarious. It would be hysterical to have Roscoe come to Logan and win every year against BYU. Cougar faithful would spontaneously combust.

Of course, there's no way we could afford him.
