Re: Packers QB depth chart

Love is right where the Packers expected him to be, with no mini-camps or organized team activities leading up to training camp. So him being 3rd on the depth chart is not unexpected. He is a developmental QB and they are treating him like one! His job is to watch, learn and execute in practices ov...

Well there isn't much practice news out, but I think Leavitt will stick. Raiders just did cutdowns which Dallin survived. Raiders also cut a guy who played corner and they brought in to play safety. I think people expected him to make the team, and Raider beat writers said that cut and Leavitt bein...

Dax Raymond was signed to the injured reserve after he cleared waivers for the Steelers. He could come off after a few weeks. They later cut Dax from their IR with an injury settlement: https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/dax-raymond-done-in-pittsburgh/. I think he's back on the market....

No way you can do 8 spring games and then normal schedule next fall. Why don't you think so? Not saying you're wrong, but: we have spring football now, in the form of conditioning, workouts, game simulation and scrimmages. IIUC there are limits on what can be done in the spring, in terms of contact...

First of all Dr. Cockett has put more money in the the athletic budget than any CEO before her. The motion that USU should go ahead with the season despite what the Conference voted for is foolish at best. Who the hell would travel to Logan to play US ? Because we do not get to watch Football this ...

BYU-P and Nebraska in talks with BIG12 about joining for football. If that happened and they have a season Aggie fans heads might explode. Cockett and Hartwell will be run out of town. What’s in that arrangement for the B12? They already will play 9 conference games. They don’t like to do OOC after...

Wouldn't it make sense for all the NCAA teams (whether we end up with a season in 2020 or not) to just move this year's and all future schedules back one year? Any legal, practical or other problems with that approach? I assume it's still as much in WSU's interest, for example, to have a home-and-h...

Now that the P5 have all announced, what about USU and the MWC?

The hopes for Hartwell to produce a P5 home and home out of the wreckage of everyone else's schedule are now dead, after the B12's plus-one announcement. Most of them are now going to have to shed an existing game rather than add somebody new (as they might have done if they'd stayed as 12 and had t...

Quick question about Stastny: is he LDS? Seems to fit the Bean/Quinn Taylor/Brad Brown/Matt Formisano mold of out-of-state walk-on late pickup, also not opposed to being on a campus with 6000 single Mormon girls. It doesn't matter to me if he is or isn't. But this has been a helpful niche for USU in...

From the USU point of view, it's too bad that Leach isn't the WSU coach. His WSU teams were often woefully unprepared for their first games, losing to a pretty good Eastern Washington team a couple of times but also to Portland State. I don't think the new coach will overlook USU but his players mi...

Verrry close call here -- LSU was our biggest OOC win in a long, long time, and the guts and fight it took to come back from 19 to win that game, without Queta, was amazing. The Nevada game was the final step in removing them from the pedestal they'd been on for a couple of MWC seasons, revenge for ...
