Re: Spectrum Replacement

6580 total attendance...not too bad for prior years, but I think we can hit over 8K now.

Pretty cool structure for a fakey.

Re: Our players and coaches do their homework

At all of our home games, I saw the opposing conference point guards consistently looking at our bench to see what was being called or changing defenses based on what our on-court call was. All teams do this.

my first aggie basketball experience ( and I was very young then) was in the old fieldhouse, sitting behind the basket, with the wire net between the floor and the first row of fans. The first row was below the court level and you looked up. I saw Nate Williams. But I was too young to understand th...

I loved how the team just sucked it up when Queta and Quinn were out with foul trouble. That was my favorite part of the game besides the final score. Just a tough bunch of guys who love the fight.

Re: Here are the security tapes.

First of all, I'm glad Jazz Johnson didn't trip on his untied shoes. That could have been bad. Some other observations after watching: 1. Jordan Caroline never enters the Nevada locker room.He is out in the hall with other assistants. 2. The assistants whip their heads around first. They clearly he...

Re: Here are the security tapes.

So, I believe that whatever occurred between Ragland and the Nevada coach/GA was communicated in the Nevada locker room. That set off Caroline who clearly was having "short fuse" issues. Nothing else makes sense. I think Hartwell's apology is about the staffer (Ragland?) who said/did something inapp...

Re: ESPNU Full Ride Show today

The only real negative I see is that it appears that Ragland may have said something to one of Nevada's coaches. The other curious thing to me is that in one of the fan videos, from above the visitors' tunnel, it appears that there was plenty of room for Nevada to get to their locker room. Just seem...

I remember talking to Henry's dad before, I think, the UNLV game in Vegas that was Jordan's first start (I believe.) He said that Henry coming to USU was the best decision they had made. He's a talented kid. Is he the same eligibility class as Jordan?

Thank you! That's very kind! We are hoping to actually get to move in by March 1. Shooting for final inspection next week.

If anyone sees the cupola tonight, it will be lit in Red, and the house red and white, in honor of Valentines Day. Nothing Ute-related!

Yes, I live in Bountiful. We moved from Farmington, and I would much rather still be in Farmington! Too many BYU people here. But that makes the cupola all the more fun. I'm getting a lot of local positive feedback. I wasn't the one with the kickstarter, but I did want to participate in that. I'd lo...

Re: Head-scratching coaching strategy

Maybe it was a "shock" strategy...when I was a JV baller at USU (hand over heart), we played at CEU and they had a 6'9" center. I got to guard him in our man-to-man set (I'm 5'10"). He missed most of his shots, probably because he couldn't believe his luck, and ended up with 9 pts. and 5 boards. Tha...

I see in TK a true freshman, living away from home, trying to figure out a game that is a lot faster than it was when he was a big fish in a small pond. It doesn't always click right away for each young player. I see flashes of really good things from him. He's quick, gets to the hoop, all that. He ...

If the strategy was to lay off the shooters at that point, one would expect that the shooter would be open. They made those shots during the period that CS had them playing off the shooters. Once they tightened up, AF didn't make another 3.

Re: Bean

Smith in the post game mentioned that they had backed off of shooters who they had not identified as 3 point shooters, and that they tightened it up in their timeout after those same non-shooters started making shots. I think they were 8/10 to start the second half from 3, and 0-8 after the adjustme...
