Re: KAR: Aranda head coach at Baylor

Aranda was one my favorite coaches when he was here He said Cache Valley reminded him of Mayberry. Neighbors would bring them pies, neighbor children always inviting his children to come out and play, and felt safe and did not have to lock their doors. He always looked pretty calm but during the gam...

Our last three offensive coordinators have been oc's that that lost there job because of a coaching change but have been owed one or two years salary by their previous schools. It has has allowed us to bring in coaches that we otherwise could not afford. I will not be suprised if our next coach will...

Re: Sanford headed to Minnesota

This thread reminds me of what was said when Josh Heupel left. No one thought he could coach and were glad when he left.
It turned out pretty good for Josh. It just shows that a good coach can look bad without the right players on the field and look good when they have the right players

I believe we will see Anderson bring an experienced defensive coach to fill the vacant 10th coach position. I know he has
talked to at least one coach that has 30 years+ coaching on the defensive side. I think new coasch will be their to help the young coaches to develop and succeed.

Lou Holtz once said when speaking of what makes a good college player that 40% was based on his physical abilities and 60% came from motivation. The motivation came from several directions. 20% - Playing for your school and teammates, 20% playing for friends, family and community, and finally from m...

Shane has not done the equipment trucking for USU for the past couple of years. It will be interesting to see what facts come out. I would guess they are throwing the book at him hoping to scare him with a prison sentence but will settle with restitution and a reduced punishment. This is the norm fo...

We have a good drainage system under the turf.. The turf itself is like most synthetic turf and can be a slippery but
with proper cleat selection it should not be a huge problem.

Re: Game Postponement

Normally the game will be delayed if lightning is occuring within a certain distance(8 miles) of the stadium. It is not uncommon for the delays to last up to several hours. The games cannot restart until 30 minute after the last lightning strike. I have heard a few games canceled where the lightning...

Also, the practice on Friday will be held in the stadium. He was just getting out of the hospital the morning of our last home game.. There was talk of him coming up to game and
being honored. Steve and the doctors felt it was best to watch the game from home. It was about two weeks later when
his body let him .down.

He's still about 1,000 points behind JC. 2522 to 1,489. He'll likely pass Wayne Estes and Greg Grant but fall a couple hundred shy of Carroll.
you have to remember that Estes, Green, and Roberts stats did not include their freshman year since Freshmen were not
eligible in that era.
