Re: So we went from probably needing to win the MWCT...

When you have some quality wins (LSU/Florida) then you are given some forgiveness for 1 or 2 bad losses like AFA or even Boise. In years past, 1 or 2 bad road losses was the disqualifier because we never had any good OOC wins. I would think if we win out other than 2 losses to SDSU, assuming the MWC...

Re: Attendance

Has anyone done the math on the payback time and annual installments for a new basketball arena? Also, how many seats do we really need in a new facility? If we were to ever build a new arena, I would think 8,500 to 9,000 is a more right sized arena, with a few suites, more leg room and modernized ...

Re: Biggest Frustration last night

I agree with all points AF makes. It pains me to watch our offense not run screens off or on the ball for Merrill. Our offense feels way too forced. Every possession at this point should go inside-out through Queta. Miller should stay back on Defense if there is any hint of a team fast break. He jus...

Re: Miller's shot

It's terrible. You hear a groan from everyone in the crowd when Miller shots it. Coach has to hear that. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk Our section had a bit of a chuckle after what I believe was Miller's 5th missed 3 of the game when you could hear a collective groan in the crowd when he b...

Maybe 4,000 here for tip-off. Must be deflating for the players but hopefully they use it as motivation.

This is a must win game if the team wants/craves mass fan support for the remainder of the season. This was supposed to be a special season and still can be!

My question for the coach or Brito is why he was the designated in bounder. He is a very good free throw shooter. Bean or Porter should be inbounding those at the end.

I’ve never seen college kids blow such a large lead with such little time left. To lose a game you never trailed in regulation is an insane stat. Only Utah State could manage such feats.

I was glad to see us run an offense. It felt like during the losing streak we made no attempt to work the ball around from the inside out. Things sure opened up last night and it felt like Bairstow played a role in putting forth the effort to play team ball.

With all the money he has made I would imagine he is a big donor to USU. I've never heard of many of the "big money" guys donating much to the programs. I have not heard of many giving back. I think a lot of the top athletes at schools like Utah State (where they don’t get paid like the bigger scho...

Re: Status of Kuba?

Also curious. Early on it looked like he had the same potential Queta showed at the beginning of his freshman year last year. It seemed like with a little coaching up he could become that defensive presence in the middle and allow our perimeter D to extend past the 3 point line a little more. Maybe ...

Re: What I learned from the Aggies this year

I think the hardest thing for me is watching the negative body language and what I perceive to be a lack of effort. If you play hard and just get beat by a better team, that is one thing. When you don't put in the effort and hang your head, that is another. This team is soft. It is unathletic. Nobo...

Re: What I learned from the Aggies this year

I have no choice but to greatly lower my expectations as well. Two months ago I thought the Sweet 16 was a real possibility. But now, at 13-5 and 2 bad road conference losses, really our only case scenario for an at-large might be running the table with only 2 more losses to SDSU. That would put us ...

What are the rules on medical grey shirts? With the season in a free fall perhaps we could apply for Queta and have him another 3 years. It's sad what has happened to his physical dominance, let the lesson be not to play for your national youth teams. FIBA sucks.

Re: A Shot Doctor May Cure Ags' Shooting Woes

Speaking of Brito, what has happened to his shooting? He has the 4th most FGAs on the team, and yet his TS% is dead last on the team (unless you include Stall). Brito went from shooting a solid .396 from beyond the arc last season to a putrid .274 this season, and his TS% has plummeted from .567 to...

SDSU up to #7

They were clearly the more athletic team and hit the clutch shots that eluded us...but considering how poorly we shot from 3 and FT we are ALMOST every bit as good IF we can get healthy. Hopefully we can put ourselves into a position we can get an-large but that gives us little margin for error at t...

I haven't heard but I'm guessing it's a "game time decision" as it has been most of the season.

One crap effort won't keep the crowd away Saturday. But yes, if we lay more eggs like last night where the team completely folds and mails it in then the crowds will not return. Heck, it's taken a near flawless year last year and the program still hasn't won the community and students back that were...

Yes, at least never again in Vegas. Those Vegas players are conditioned for that scene and don't need as much recovery time to be ready.

I seriously wonder if Queta is done at USU. There is no reason for him to risk further injury with millions of dollars at stake. He already staked his millions on an amateur youth team in Portugal this past summer. At this point, I'd rather see him recover and come back strong next season to help U...
