Re: We are going to remember “The Shot”

In Aggie future lore “ The Shot”. Will be remembered by all of us during this time period. Just like I always equate “The Comeback”. With John Elway coming back to beat Cleveland. Actually I believe it is called “The Drive”. It would be great if they put “The Shot” on the Jumbotron before the start...

Yet, if you left it up the fans to make the choice, based on the supposed risk, I bet they would still show just as they do in the past.

The flu is very contagious and people die from it every year, yet we don't change our lives based on it.

Re: Hoping we see our best 5 together next week

Miller's role against SDSU was appropriate. A 1-6 performance from three point range would have shot us out of the game. He hustles and isn't lazy. As long as he doesn't get off the bus shooting 3's I'm happy.

Re: Hoping we see our best 5 together next week

We need at least our best six in my opinion. I don't know if we beat SDSU without Porter being available at the point to take the additional stress off of Merrill. Imagine Merrill playing PG for the better part of 40 minutes while being hounded by Flynn and repeated double teams. He'd have nothing l...

Re: Coach Smith the ambassador

I don't mean this as a knock on Dutcher, I'm sure he's a great coach, but the contrast between Dutcher and Smith on those courtside interviews was pretty stark. Dutcher's answers were like, "they made some shots" and that was it. Smith was engaging. He's got a great media presence. He reminds me a ...

Re-watch "The Shot" and you'll see a Sam Diego St. fan sitting behind the Aggies bench and he has his back turned to the floor. He just couldn't stand to watch the play unfold.

Priceless.

Coach Smith the ambassador

We couldn't ask for a better ambassador for our program than Coach Smith. His banter with the sideline reporter for
CBS Sports over the past two years is epic and he ends every quick interview with "Go Aggies!"

His enthusiasm is genuine. Who wouldn't want to play for this guy?

he will have a lucrative overseas career. A 6'4 streaky shooting guard who's not very quick.

THe NBA usually doesn't favor unathletic undersized shooting guards.
You don't score over 2,000 points in your career by being streaky.
A four-year streak at that.

And then Sam took over, rushing for two tds before scoring all nines on his floor exercise, while Brito and Queta finished strong with birdie-birdie-par on the last three holes giving the Aggies their second Grey Cup win in a row.

My commenting record here is consistent: no one is out to get us, yes, some refs are better than others. Officials don't cost us games. We do it to ourselves.

But tonight? How does one guy, playing on the perimeter with a penchant of not committing fouls, get called with four fouls in five minutes?
