Re: The where do you stand thread.

Contrary to popular belief, I actually think we are going to have a stellar season next year. Remember when we came into the WAC and everyone thought we couldn't compete with Nevada? We actually beat them on the road that year and we were a missed Nate Harris layup away from winning the WAC tourname...

Re: And so ends the glorious NCAA run of the MWC

We will be a perfect fit in the MWC. Have a great season, make it to the Big Dance, get all hyped up with everyone saying we are going to the Sweet 16 only to crap our pants and play intimidated and lose. Just like all of the other teams from the MWC.

Re: stew's Most Dangerous Team

Tai's Senior year. If we had gotten a better draw, say an 11 or even a 10 seed We would have won a game or two. We got totally shafted that year by playing K State.

Re: NCAA Tournament Thread

The West Region is WIDE open. They have their 12, 13 and 14 seeds all still playing and I wouldn't be totally shocked if Iona could beat Ohio State. Imagine if Southern had beat Gonzaga!! It would be awesome to see a bracket full of mid-majors playing to get to the Final Four. I still think Arizona ...

Re: NCAA Tournament Thread

I am definitely keeping my eye on two teams: Arizona and St. Louis. If i were L'ville/Gonzaga/Ohio State i certainly wouldn't want to play them. And don't forget about Butler. It wouldn't matter if they had lost 5 in a row going into the NCAA tournament, Brad Stevens would have them ready to play. F...

Wow that may be the last time i ever pick UNLV to win a game in the tournament. I thought this year's team would win 1 game because they had Anthony Bennett, but i guess i was wrong.

Re: I cannot wait for the MWC

I don't consider it "choking" unless you are a 3 or 4 seed or better. In all the other matchups anybody can beat anybody. Last year SDSU got a tough draw facing a red hot NC State team in the first round of the tournament. It all depends on the matchup and this year I think they can all win 1 game, ...

Kyle and the Davis family are good friends with our family. He played for my dad in middle school, and for what it's worth, nobody will work harder than Kyle. Very high basketball IQ. He won't have a lack of heart or effort. I guess my only concern would be his size. Needs to gain 20 pounds of muscl...

Re: I cannot wait for the MWC

None are making the Elite Eight. New Mexico CSU and UNLV all win one game and lose their next game. Arizona beats NM and they make it to the Elite Eight. Solomon Hill will be to much for the lobos IMO.

Re: I cannot wait for the MWC

AGGZILLA, if gonzaga went 31-2 in this years MWC, they would have a top 10 rpi, top 25 SOS and going 31-2 would also entail beating the likes of New Mexico and Colorado State, UNLV. If they went 31-2 they would have beaten each of those teams 2 or 3 times( depending on the conference tournament) whi...

Re: I cannot wait for the MWC

AGGZILLA, interesting that you compare the transition of big west to WAC and WAC to MWC. The Jump to the WAC seemed major at the time, but in hindsight it wasn't really. And yes if Gonzaga went 31-2 in this years MWC there is no question they would have Bren #1 overall. I do agree we need to get som...

Re: I cannot wait for the MWC

AGGZILLA, I couldn't disagree more. If conference affiliation didn't matter Then why was there so much discussion on Gonzaga getting a 1 seed or not? Had they gone 31-2 in the MWC they would have been the #1 overall seed. If boise state went 21-10 in the WCC or WAC they would have zero chance of an ...

I cannot wait for the MWC

I absolutely cannot wait to be in this conference. I am excited for both football and basketball, but more so for basketball. The benefits of being in this conference are immeasureable. The RPI of the MWC is great, which comes in handy at tournament time. We had the same record as Boise State this y...

Any chance of a JC 4 man?

Looking at next year's roster, we need to find a bruising 4 man if Harris can't get healthy. I think if we can find a 10/10 a Game 4 man we could be 3rd or 4th in the MWC behind NM and UNLV because CSU and SDSU are losing quite a bit.

"That was brutal watching Logan collapse again. 8 losses by 3 or less this season. Still a great run and better than 99% of Logan's previous attempts at a state title." I have a couple nights that stick out in my mind. The night where Jaycee dropped 44 and the ovation he got still gives me chills. Also when Brady Jardine was honored on senior night last year. 2 memories I will never, ever forget.

There is something to be said about a team that refuses to lose. This team just keeps finding a way to win. I think this is going to end up being a really, really special team. Now lets start supporting our Aggies, Cache Valley. THEY NEED US!!!!!

Murray State last year vs USU this year

I think fans need to stop making a fuss about our schedule and our team. Murray State didn't play anybody NC besides Memphis. Then they won their BracketBuster game. As long as we keep winning games, people will start to take notice. Murray Stare also got a 6 seed for beating basically nobody becaus...

The one thing we will miss most about GA is his ability to recruit to Logan. Nobody wants to come to Logan UT to play football, but he somehow recruited here. I would much rather have Sitake than Wells.

Re: All-WAC football team

I think in a year where there were only 3 legit WAC teams, they awards should have come down to how each player performed in those 2 big games. Colby Cameron threw 3 picks in those 2 big games and his team went 0-2. Chuckie keeton's team averaged 48.5 ppg in those 2 games and his team went 2-0. I do...

i could not agree more with trehogi74. Why would you rather play Ball State than have a shot at Texas or Oklahoma State?? how can somebody that big have no capability of finishing around the rim? He is a physical big guy, but he hurts us because he is not an option on offense. I think Lopez would have been a big help to our team last night had he been eligible.
