Re: Potential Storm a brewin'

This was discussed last week, and when the source is a post on a forum saying the coach is on the hot seat, it isn't really a source. More like fans complaining. The team lost two of their best scorers at the start of the year and Pitino signed a 2-year extension at the end of last season. Until I ...

Miller on the bench to start. Brito starting.
Thank you coach Smith.
It’s senior night. So It doesn’t mean it will last. Although the way both him and Brito started maybe it will make an impression on smith and he’ll keep it that way.

Re: JLove: Combine Measurables

I’ve heard a lot of the reason the teams are obsessed with hand size is more of the fumble factor. They think guys with bigger hands fumble less. I’m not sure if there are stats to back that up but I’ve read a few times that’s a big reason they pay attention to that measure.

I laugh when people pay so much attention to measureables. I am not saying you can completely ignore them, but I am not sure you can place a lot of stock in them. I have never really had a favorite NFL team. I have thought that maybe I should start now that the Raiders are moving to LV. It would be nice to have another reason to adopt them. I'm in the same boat, but I'll have a hard time if the whole Oakland black hole style follows them to Vegas. I don't th...

He would have to play for a coach that hates rookie quarterbacks at Las Vegas. As a fan, it would be nice to have him close and to be able to go watch him in Vegas, but I don't know if Gruden is the guy you want grooming any young QB.

Unfortunately the formula is confidential and can change at anytime. Because of those things, reverse engineering it is nearly impossible since we don't know when things change. The longest losing streak only being 4 games seems pretty amazing to me. I don't know what other stadiums losing streaks look like and maybe that is on par, but to me that says this program has consistency.

I used to be a Spalding guy. The TF-1000 used to be the best, but the past several years I think the Wilson Evolution ball has been better. I don't recall ever using a high-end Nike ball. NBA balls are real leather and have to be broken in significantly. In fact they have machines that help with th...

The NBA made a switch to a different material in 2006 that didn't seem to affect the game or scoring, but the players hated it cause it was causing super dry and cracked hands, so the union pushed back and won. https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/wnmz79/the-nba-ball-that-everyone-hated-throwback-thu...

Re: WSJ homepage article on MWC using new Nike balls (picture of Sam in article too)

It looks like this article might have all originated from a post on the MWC forum. There was a thread posted back in January by an SDSU poster about the Nike shot tracker balls and how they were no good. Going through the thread the author of the article from the WSJ created an account to log on and...

Because, if the shot is there he will take it and won’t make it. That’s a bad offensive possession. The only time he makes it consi...
