Re: With a bye week will CK be able to get healthy enough

GA coached with a sprained neck, against BYU. I thought that was risky considering how cheap and dirty BYU was, they could have hit him on the sidelines, and broken his neck. That game didn't matter in the grand scheme of things, we should have saved GA to be 100% healthy for conference play.

Re: With a bye week will CK be able to get healthy enough

I hope chuckie and the other key starters don't play the BYU game is not worth it. Yes playing in a rivalry game your senior year isn't worth it. As a competitor you want to play in every game and help your team to the best of your abilities. To me your comment is a defeatist attitude. If the start...

Re: Even if byu loses a game

Hasn't BYU been beaten by both Boise and San Jose in the last couple years. BYU would typically end up towards the top of the MW but they are beatable and wouldn't be a yearly shoe in. Since I've already been on the grammar train, I'll hop on the misunderstood yet overused phrase, shoo-in. http://e...

Re: Four Possible scenarios BYU game

Well played isrred... You'll notice, the other scenarios only have multiples of 7 points, I did that on purpose. I forgot in scenario 4 that I typed 3. What I really should do is adjust all the scores so that it's only in multiples of 6, because at this point an extra point converted, is some...

4. We could have a type of a 2012 repeat, with a defensive battle, in a 10-3 loss, but I doubt we hold them to just 10 points. I don't see this happening again. This is the most unrealistic one of all because it requires that we actually make a field goal Well played isrred... You'll notice, ...

Four Possible scenarios BYU game

I'm going to paint four possible scenarios to the outcome of the BYU game. 1. (what my gut tells me) We will hold BYU to 14 points or less going into half time, we score one touchdown at least. BYU makes good half time adjustments, and holds our offense scoreless in the 3rd quarter. Our defense gets...

Re: Would you play Chuckie in Multi-level Marketville in 2 w

Sometimes, you just have to let the spirit of competition outweigh what your brain is telling you. Life is too short, especially your college career, to sit out against BYU, or any other team for that matter, if you are 100% healthy. I don't think you should be intimidated by BYU's defense, so much,...

I have heard from an unreliable source, that the time will be announced 5 minutes before kick-off. That doesn't seem fair to the fans or players though.

Tell all of the people that yell at you to "sit down" to get over it and stand up and cheer anyway. I got yelled at to sit down when Wake was going for it on FOURTH down--even a lot of the West side stood up during that point and I still got yelled at. Our fans need a reminder that this is a footba...

Re: The future of USU trying to schedule UTAH

I noticed they play @ Fresno. I wonder if that's a 2-1? If it's not, and it's a 1 for 1, then I will put UofU in the same category as BYU, which is, I hope they lose every game, for eternity. If they are willing to play Fresno, 1 for 1, and not USU, then we should not even negotiate with them. I ma...

I just don't like the statements, that BYU is not an important game, and hopefully the coaching staff doesn't feel that way either. I'm sure they don't. You'll be happy to know USU gets to play a super important, hard hitting, cheap shot taking, team on Nov. 28th next season right after conference ...

What if Matt Wells said - Chuckie we known BYU plays dirty and that they are going to target your knee. Their goal is going to be to disable you, either for the season or for life. Every time they get a shot at you they they are going to view it as hunting season, the tackles are not going to be to...

Re: Hypothetical situation (don't excoriate me please)

This is a competitive sport, you should play every game to win. There are only 13 games in a season. This isn't the NBA, or MLB, you need to take advantage of every game. If I were Chuckie, and I was 100% and Wells says to me, "BYU hits hard, so we aren't going to play you.", I would be very upset....

I thought DG's arm is much stronger, he had some zing on his passes. He also had an explosive play where Butler made a tremendous catch, on a nice long ball. DG has the moxy, he now just needs the poise, to stay in the pocket and still connect with his receivers, while being blitzed. I'd like to see...

One of the few bright spots from this game. This kid is going to be a stud. I know he got beat on one touchdown but he was right there to make the play. IMO he's our best corner as a true freshman.
