Re: Phil Steele on 1280

Thanks for posting that True I like his game break downs but I'm not a fan on putting numbers on something like a defensive line or offensive line. "They are my 57th offensive line in the country" It sounds analytical but it's really not worth anything. Gives some love to our TE, but he's not going ...

He could have been the best defensive player in the nation while at USU. Don't know what his stats were, but he was dominant. Makes me crazy thinking that GA had Bobby, Turbin and Chuckie.

I bet the payoff to the women, if any will be less than 10K each. As a group and or individually they will settle for much less than the court ruling. The attorneys on the other hand will collect some redonkulous amount.

Re: Wells BIGGEST mistake

I think it's easy for us as fans to second guess situations like this. You take all the personalities (loyalties) out of the issue and just look at the result. The coach who is right in the middle of it has a totally different perspective, and I wouldn't second guess Wells for what he did in that si...

Re: Tahi on Wells

Wells is the worst down and distance coach I have ever seen. Two examples the bowl game run option to tooele from salt lake when trying to get to Provo. Everyone know you pound the rock. East west never works. Two against New Mexico we could have kicked one field goal from inside the 10 and won the...

Re: Tahi on Wells

Too bad GA made some rather large game time blunders. If he hadn’t there’s no question that he should be named the Aggie all time best. A QB injury and a remarkable 2nd half by the backup in Hawaii defines the turning point more than any coaching decision made. Exactly what I wanted to post about G...

USU special teams is not really an accurate description. There should be another name for ours. More of a negative description. Maybe snakebite teams? Somebody posted that we don't really have a winning tradition, we got started, but never really built what anyone should consider a "tradition of win...

Wells recruited Keeton to come to Utah State while he was still coaching the wide receivers at New Mexico? Cool.
Just repeating what Chuckie's mother told me.

Re: Graduate WR transfer

That HS highlight tape is worth watching. At 1:44 he gets thrown over a training table. I like it. He's a lefty. Should be our possession / hands guy. Doesn't look like a speed burner but he's tall so it's hard to judge how fast he's running. He is an elusive runner with the ball in his hands. Punt ...

Unsubstantiated preseason rankings of all QBs

This will be a really interesting year. Will Love overcome the shortcomings of the offense? Or will the offense overcome Love? Kent Myers went downhill. I saw him as more of a running threat than a guy who could hurt you through the air. When the offense was working, he could get a few pass completi...

Re: Roll Tide - Playing @ Bama in 2022

I was in favor of getting our payday closer to home. We played USC, Washington. Stay away form the huge travel expenses. Play teams that are more finesse than someone like Alabama who wants to beat you down with a RB bigger than anyone on our defense.

Re: Down year for Utah schools in the draft

Pretty sure Gruden isn't sold on the current Raider safeties. Joseph is a former first round pick but he's undersized and often injured. When Leavitt gets a look at him? He'll realize he has a shot. Not as a starter maybe but he could stick with the team. Same with Braelon. Raiders like to keep WR's...

One of our principled defenders of justice that joined his NFL brethren to stand up (kneel down) against violence and brutality in law enforcement. If the accusations are true, the irony is not lost on me. Interesting spin there. Hardly see your agenda. hahahaha The irony isn't lost on me either.

Re: SB Nation USU Season Preview

For me is not a huddle no huddle issue. I have two main problems with what we run, and Chicago I'm not a coach and don't know what I'm talking about. 1. We have way too many the and outs that lead to drives under 2 minutes. Our defense is in the field way to much. We go horizontally in the passing ...

Peyton Manning popularized the no huddle. He's the master. He controlled the speed of the game, he came to the line and observed the defensive alignment, he could fake a snap watch for the D to change, and audible if the defense switched their alignment, he knew the down and distance, he knew the ga...

Re: SB Nation USU Season Preview

I really dislike the style of our offense. The start and stop at the line, the switch to up-tempo. I didn't see it helping us at all. It actually looked like most of the time we were taking ourselves out of rhythm and killing momentum. Throw in bad play calls and you have a really ugly situation. It...
