St Mary lost at home to Winthrop?

Surprised to see that on the score ticker. Too bad. We need our opponents to be the best they can so our wins look better.

Re: Rankings

Smith needs to show the last few minutes leading up to the jardine dunk. Not sure how far down we were but it looked like a loss.

Even Al mentioned GA seemed more active and alive tonight, clapping and encouraging players after good plays.

But some of the non-conference games are games that could greatly increase our seed come March.

As poorly as the coaching staff is handling this season

Contrast us to BYU. The wins they have are basically better play calling and creativity. Both us and Boise fell for flea flickers, fly sweeps and Qb draws and rpo’s. At least we stopped trying that slow developing out ball, only to replace with plays the qb fails to see LB’s sitting routes and picki...

I agree he has little passion. I think back to meeting him earlier in the summer. He acted the same then, but it was just one of the dog and pony shows and he was bored and did not appear to want to be there. He has the same look on the sidelines. Alvarez stole his winning passion. Sent from my iPho...

Re: Sanford quote in SL Trib

Perfect execution would win games. No dropped passes, no missed blocks, passes accurately going where the are supposed to go... BUT it would require perfection at play calling instead of 2 up the gut and a long pass.

To this day 40 years later, I’m sure a big whiff of quervo gold would give my arms goosebumps. Re: AF QB injured

My memory is that AF almost always burns us with pass plays more than run yeah they run tons, but the occasional pass has been way to successful for them. Our d last week was great on shorter routes and very aggressive, I just worry we give up a couple long over the top passes. Sent from my iPhone u...

Recruiting!! Isn’t there a couple ‘committed’ cougar kids attending on an visit, official or not? Chuckle was sold, not because it was BYU there, but the atmosphere and crowd. A sell out, with rowdy students/fans is a better atmosphere than our 15-20 k attendance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok. One truly trick that won the game and 1 that hardly ever is called on 4th and 1. Seemed tricky to me to run that. Both Boise and I were tricked.

I met GA at an event with alums and he acted like he no way wanted to be there. I sat next to him and asked about his dogs and even joked about his tattoo. He was not much of a conversationalist, that’s his business. He has failed at end of BIG games, glad to have his energy and love for the players...

As opposed to a qb that was 5/14 ? That guy was as bad as the southern Florida guy with the broken hand.

We’re hicks in Utah, we run the muzzle loader and occasionally trick teams with the bow and arrow. Our returner is slower than Kerwin Williams.

Not a big fan of ncaa and their practices and big boy favoritism, but hope they stick to it and kick CA schools out of post season. 1 state can’t do this and it is a bad, slippery slope in college athletics.
