Re: Who Was the Last Dominant Defensive Lineman We've Had?

DOMINANT, to me is someone who has to be double and tripled teamed, and still make plays. Rulon Jones, Bill Staley, Merlin and Phil Olsen all fit that mode. I agree with you on your list. I remember one game that Staley played where he dislocated his shoulder. You could see it hanging lower than th...

Re: Question on Danny Berger

Coach Jones related a story about Berger on his mission. He said Danny and his companion were walking in the Detroit inner city area. A group of guys were playing b-ball at one of the local playgrounds. The missionaries stopped to watch. The locals started telling them to go away and get lost. Danny...

Re: Who Was the Last Dominant Defensive Lineman We've Had?

I remember a d-end from the early 70's Alan McMurray weighed 185 lbs and played defensive end. He was warrier . Despite his size he made many outstanding plays. I loved watching him, he would get knocked down get back up and still be in on the tackle. We think Koskan is small at 230 lbs can you imag...

Re: Last time Georgetown played in the Spectrum?

I remember Sleepy Floyd hitting a shot from the baseline, over the backboard, and nothing
but net. If I remember I think Wyoming, and Fresno also were here that year

Re: Walker question answered

I will root for a player like Farris anyday. First he is a walk-on and is paying his own way. Story is he did not have the grades to qualify out of high school and evidently he has put in the time in the classroom to make grades. His uncle was a football player here in the seventies and went on to b...

Re: Miller Metric Debut

while i appreciate the statisical analysis it appears that your computations are based only on points and rebounds. Tyler graded out very poorly yet in my opinion his defense on Lillard is what turned the game in our favor. I dont know how you put the intangibles into your formula. The one stat that...
