Always sad to hear about the passing of a legend. (Seriously) I look forward to a long troutputz rant where he talks about the glory days of Shaler Halimon.

I really think the Jazz are locks for 3 of the major awards. I don't know how Quin Snyder doesn't win coach of the year, Gobert doesn't win Dplayer of the year and Clarkson 6th man of the year. They all should win and win comfortably.

Re: Craig Smith says he wants to play Utah State

This is the Spectrum we are talking about. We boo everyone. Every opponent, every opposing coach, even opposing bench players. That's part of the magic. Doesn't have to be personal, but if you come into our house, you are going to get an ear full! Oh but in this case, you better believe it is perso...

Re: Craig Smith says he wants to play Utah State

There's a difference between cheering for and not booing. And those Cleveland fans were dumb. Don't you remember every story being about how lame they were? Pretty much any rival coach is going to get booed on their return. That is just part of sports. Here is maybe a better example than the Lebron...

Re: Craig Smith says he wants to play Utah State

I'll be surprised if Smith ever steps foot in the Spectrum again. If he does, the crowd isn't going to be kind to him. I really don’t see it ever happening. But maybe, just maybe he is just that arrogant. It would be a long, long night for him. We gonna boo the guy that gave us two MW championships...

Remember Bernard King? Skated down to misdemeanor attempted sexual assault instead of rape, sodomy, and first degree kidnapping. All because he was a coke fiend. Diminished capacity defense always was immoral. Well, in that day and age it was probably more because he was a famous athlete. Coke was ...

But hey hope he is great. I gave OrangeCountyAggie a hard time for saying McChesney was going to be a foundational player over the next 3-4 years. In what little he played this year I wasn't impressed, but hope he continues to get better and that he becomes as good as some on here believe he will be.

I was hoping to get the level of recruit needed to consistently compete for MW championships. So far I don't see it. I see RJ as the same level as Marco. Maybe not as good defensively, probably a better shooter... Horvath looks to be as good as big men we’ve had in the past. Both quality signings Y...

Re: Craig Smith says he wants to play Utah State

I like that Craig points out USU plays Weber home and home. I guess the logic follows that if USU will play a lower league school on equal terms for the sake of in-state games, why can't Utah? But Craig, while he was here, didn't play South Dakota home and home which would be a comparison to playin...

I believe him. Craig Smith wants to play in the NCAA tourney, and a high NET game against USU helps him get there. Yep, Utah only has something to gain from playing USU if they want to be in the tournament. If they want to continue to be on the wrong side of the bubble even with good Pac seasons li...

Re: I am a little worried

I agree, winning on the court is more important than winning in the recruiting world. They aren't separate. Winning in recruiting means you will win on the court. If recruiting isn't important, we might as well just go find a bunch of guys playing pick up ball at a frat house near campus and have t...

As for the soccer coach that went to UVU, it is extra bogus since USU doesn't even have a Men's scholarship team. I once actually posted on facebook that USU was starting up NCAA Varsity Scholarship Men's soccer, to get some people who played on the club soccer team, or that were friends with them,...
