Wait...wild swings of emotion for wins and losses??? Are we talking about our board now???
No, not now as our only loss so far this season was to Michigan State on the road. We played them way better than most expected.

I'm surprised Kent is still at WSU. His overall record there is 47-77 and his Pac 12 record is 18-54. I hope it works out for Henson.

That's why Coach Larry hired him. Shortly after he was hired he recruited Rylan Jones. :headscratch:

Good question. I think what you are inferring is that the playing field is pretty level with those three individuals?
Exactly and if Spencer Nelson and Condie weren't good enough for Smith I don't know if Smith is going to settle for Swindlehurst.

Re: Recruiting

Stew grew up and went to high school in the shadows of BYU. Poor soul, it must have been extremely depressing and agonizing for him. I can't even begin to imagine what that must have felt like. He's probably still suffering from PTSD. It's not Stew's fault that he was raised there but he definitely...

Swindlehurst graduated from BYU and grew up in Utah County. :puke:
So did Stew. Well, he went to Rick's prior to going to Gonzaga.
Gonzaga and BYU are completely different plus I don't recall Stew ever being a big BYU fan prior to coaching at USU.

It is my understanding that the major benefit to participating in the Beehive Classic is that we get to play Utah ONLY in SLC and ONLY once every three years.

According to a recent HJ Article: All-conference guard Sam Merrill has made a big impression on the new coaching staff. I hope Queta pans out and that Smith and his staff can quickly develop him into a serviceable 5 in the MWC. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they can. We haven't had a good healthy 5 since Collette and Shaw. Stone was half decent though.

It's a bit of a challenge right now to get a Rudy Gobert or Joel Embiid type of center to commit to USU. You keep knocking Queta, who do expect Smith to recruit to USU right now? I have not knocked Queta and I'm definitely not expecting a Rudy Gobert type of player. Another Fakira type player is fi...

I don't see your Manute Bol comparison, thansen. He is much more mobile and jumps way better than Bol. It also looks like he has better hands. Bol was a stiff, but had great height. A little knock kneed but fairly mobile. That phrase would also have described young versions of Patrick Ewing, Dikembe Mutombo, and Manute Bol. I certainly hope Klay Stall can stay healthy this year. But there is nothing in his previous two years at USU, or his senior season in high school to indicate that he can. Anything he will give us will be gravy.
We are definitely in trouble next year.
