I wonder if he has a shot to break the USU free throws made in a season record.
Cornell Green (1961-1962) is currently #1 at 227

Not familiar with Ubuntu in the context of Coach Sprinkle. Anyone care to elaborate? My general understanding is that "ubuntu" is used here to describe a general basketball philosophy of sharing the praise and responsibility, distributing the ball, playing selflessly, and working together to achiev...

It's unwatchable as long as the Networks assume I am interested in watching Taylor Swift cheer. I live in a house full of Swifties that eat it up. "Dad, when does the Chiefs game start?" - My 8 year old daughter like 2 months ago. I've never heard her give one care about football before this became...

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve been a bit down on Josh, but he was Mr. Cool today. We don’t win that game without him. Also props to Falslev for being engaged in the game and supportive, even when losing some clutch minutes to Josh late in the game. Both are real team players.

Such an unpredictable outcome and a prime example of why sports betting is so infuriating. Petraitis had arguably the best game by an Air Force player ever. 18 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists. He had at least 3 blocks too. I understand that this is technically bad for USU, but I also technically don...

I will bet you a SIGNIFICANT amount of money that Kayla Ard will not be the head coach of the Utah State women's basketball team next season. If you're that confident about it, you must have much better intel than I do, in which case, I reject your offer. I'll be happy if Ard is gone, but I'll unde...

I want to see a good USU WBB team as much as anybody, but my opinion is that we should wait it out 'til the end of her contract. Let her wallow in misery or just walk away (like she should). If you're honestly okay with keeping a coach who is 22-80 for a fifth season, than no, you don't want to see...

I originally thought that we were only getting $600K for one away game. As it turns out, we're getting $600K for both away games.
This is an absolute steal if you ask me.

Curious about offensive fouls. Often a UNM guard would drive and it looked like a forward was trying to get over to help but couldn't get around the UNM forward. This is usually called a 'seal' but tonight it looked the seal had legs because it wasn't just holding position it was boxing out our def...

Baseball is a super weird sport. Some currently unknown pitcher will be absolutely unhittable in 6 months, and all of the cash will have been blown on superstars that are injured. Baseball is just so dumb and wonderful. I've stopped gambling on sports, but I was really considering a sizable Braves W...

Don’t worry - we’ll beat them in the Spectrum. House will foul out in the Spectrum in about 45s. The incessant moving screens down low will actually be called. Great Osobor will actually hit a free throw. Isaac Johnson will leave his feet on every defensive opportunity. All will return to true form.

I don’t feel bad at all because the refs were awful in the first half. The refs gave us the two most important calls of the night, but they had plenty of bad calls that affected us in the first. A+. I hear ya, but I think the point is, do you honestly believe BYU is a top-4 team in the country? I don't think even the most diehard, biased BYU fans truly believe that. They're clearly a good team, but a good team that has gamed the system (or accidentally stumbled upon a hack) to have a much high...

Let's enjoy this season to the fullest before we worry about Danny leaving. He'll leave for the right opportunity - and it'll come soon enough. Worry about the future in the future. Look, I hate BYU as much as anybody, but they are an extremely good team this year. Their schedule hasn't been the best, but if you RUTS against weak opponents doesn't convince you, then their win against SDSU should tell you something. I'm not convinced that they are a top 5 team, but I do think t...

I brought 1.7% of the total attendance and we all sat behind the bench. I'd guess at least 100 Aggies in attendance. AF basketball is pretty sad, although they had some nice LED lighting effects installed during the offseason. I tried to start an "up by twenty" chant and literally nobody cared (on e...

I have two tickets available for CSU Saturday. I usually give these away for free, but I'm asking $40/ticket for this game.
They aren't great seats, but it's the Spectrum. PM me if interested.
EDIT: I sold these on Seat Geek. Thanks.

But their fans aren’t going to be on break on the 2nd. Holiday is over for them. Makes no sense to me. Not sure that we will be able to tell if their fans show or not. So far, they have hosted 7 games in Clune Arena (capacity 5843). The largest "announced" crowd this season is 2377. Average attenda...

Announcing Opponent Starters at Home
I went to Nuggets v. Warriors yesterday, and saw something that I absolutely loved. I would love to see us do the same thing. Pre-game, when the home announcer announces the opposing starters, the Nuggets PA guy went through the opposing player names in a very micro-machines-guy- esque speed (never ...

I think it'd be pretty foolish to fire the person that brought USU its finest football hour (only MWC Championship and LA Bowl win), but Blake is also regressing pretty dramatically. Two 6-7 seasons with two absolute bowl flops is really quite a fall from grace. He has two years left on his contract...

I hate to say this, but we could really use Ashworth. I don't know who's three ball I trust most on this team. I couldn't care less about the assistants. I say save the money, and see Kayla's contract out. Once her contract is up, cut bait and actually hire a decent coach. We need to wipe this slate clean. Haven't been impressed getting the ball in during pressure. That last inbound was almost deadly To that end, I saw a gorgeous inbound play that I want Danny to use from time to time. Excited for sure, but next year's schedule is really tough. I think the team will be better next year, but might still be 6-6. At USC, at Temple, at Boise, home Utah, plus Washington State.
