WTHCG - This week we'll go back to Division III Football and check into an all-Wisconsin match-up in the quarterfinals with two teams from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The UW-Whitewater Warhawks are 11-1 having fallen in week 5 by a score of 7-10. That was one of two games all season (including two playoff games so far) in which the Warhawks didn't score at least 30 points. They surrendered 30 points in only one game and only more than 20 in one other. In the final D3Football.com Top 25 poll of the season, the Warhawks were ranked at #5. Last week, UW-W won on the road against #5 Wheaton Thunder who were previously undefeated. The UW-Oshkosh Titans are also 11-1, and are the only team to have defeated the Warhawks this season. The Titans lone loss came in week 1 by a score of 21-23 to the Robert Morris-Chicago Eagles - an NAIA team which ended up 6-4 overall. The Titans have scored over 30 points in 9 games and surrendered 14 or fewer 9 times. The Titans ended the regular season ranked #3. Last week the Titans defeated unranked Ohio Northern Polar Bears who are 9-3.

I was just looking at the FCS brackets to see who UNI plays next week (at Portland State) and noticed that UNH lost. Sorry, man. I'm still waiting for a rematch of the WIldcats and Panthers... I miss putting NH out of the playoffs!
