The site is very sluggish for me today.... It seems like the server is having issues...

I've been on airplanes most of the day but my time on the site today has been smooth.

Still going slow for me.... Maybe I need to reboot or something...

Pages are loading very, very slowly for me too.

hmm... I can certainly call in and start a ticket to look into it. I have been on and off all weekend and today on both my desktop and phone and haven't had any troubles but it sounds like a handful of others have.

It's been slow for me for several days now off and on. I also got a database connect error today...

I've had it be fast and slow for me. I'm thinking that one of the servers on the grid is probably struggling which would affect about 33% of the sites users.

Pages have been loading slower for me for about 2 weeks now and about every 3rd link I click on times out.

I haven't received any server errors that I can remember.

How about now for everyone? I called in today and went through the usual routine with our little host. They blew smoke up my wazoo and gave all kinds of explanations as to why we may be experiencing problems but they ended up telling me they would look into some quick fixes and monitor it.

The proof is in the pudding as they say - so let me know if it is any better. I have not experienced the slow downs that others have so I have no way to really test.

Yes it is worse today. Seems to be progressing downward. 25-30 seconds per page load.

[knock on wood]I've only experienced problems 2 times in the week since this was first reported. Both were short-term, an hour maybe. [/knock on wood]
Hope it gets resolved for those who experience slow-down.

Man, I wish the host could replicate this so they could change something. I spent another hour or so on the phone with them again yesterday but they could not replicate any delay problems from their outside connection and they ran a simulation from some 80 different locations around the country and did not get any reports of delay. I told them it has been almost a couple of weeks now with these types of reported delays from site users that are located all over the country. They claim that while we are a part of shared grid servers, there has been no warnings of failure, overload, or bandwidth bottle necking on our servers. This site uses very little bandwidth with the bulk of it coming from the twitter and facebook feeds on the front page.

Since I have not experienced much slow down, everything they ask me to do works fine when they run through tests with me. Due to this they kind of take the attitude of "it's not a problem on our end" or "we told you so".

I have had a time or two in past week that it was a few seconds longer than normal for a page to load in the forums but nothing like treesap is experiencing. I am zipping all over the site this morning with nearly instant page loads on every link....

frustrating....

It's going pretty fast for me right now... Hopefully it stays that way.

The server is slow as molasses for me right now. Taking upwards of 60 seconds to load a single page....

it was like this for me all morning, but now it is quick.

Got internal server error again. Second time in past two days.

I've had my browser timeout a couple times since yesterday a.m. Also, there has been consistent slow loading - approx 20-30 seconds per page change - in that same timeframe. Both issues have been experienced both at home (firefox) and at work (explorer)

I compressed all of the images on this site along with some of backend files by 30%. I'm hoping that this will help quite a bit with performance. It probably won't solve all of the problems with the site but hopefully it will help make things bearable while we look into other solutions.

no change for me - server error about 2:30 cst, still about 30 seconds per page load....

Internal server error at 9:12 p.m. eastern time. Pages taking about 20-45 seconds to load. Some images not fully loading in the header menus.
