Re: MWC
Has anyone received counseling due to that period of anxiety that lasted almost two years? From the time The Project imploded to the announcement by Scott and Stan that our time of wandering was over? How long was that?

On August 17, 2010, Stan Albrect "gleefully" wrote that Kustra's world was crumbling around him. FU and UNRenage both left the next day.SuperiorBlueDiver wrote:Has anyone received counseling due to that period of anxiety that lasted almost two years? On January 25, 2011 the MWC released a statement saying they would not expand, despite Comcast's pressure to do so due to no candidates with enough value.
On December 11, 2011 Boise State and SDSU both accepted invites to the Big East. Then C-USA and the MWC talked about a scheduling alliance, which meant USU's addition was not imminent.
After a few months of negotiation and projections leading to dismissing the alliance or superconference with C-USA, the MWC invited USU and SJSU on May 5, 2012.
Then BSU returned on December 31, 2012, and SDSU on Jan 16, 2013 returned to the MWC.
That was a total about 22 months, or more precisely 663 days of angst where USU was on a limb. (The return of the wayward 2 is not included in that number.) The most remarkable part of this was that our FB team improved dramatically and due to the years of work involved. Had this not happened, we may not have ever been invited. Persistance is the key I suppose along with events going your way.

Re: MWC
July 1, 2013 will be an awesome day, but do we have to vandalize Merlin Olsen Field by installing that awful MW logo in the turf? I'd rather hang banners like we did for the WAC last season.
