Mookie

Post by ratofallaggies » October 10th, 2014, 10:38 am

I know that the guy fumbled a little bit as a true frosh, but since then it doesn't look like the guy has received much of a look. I remember liking how hard he ran and thinking that he would hit the hole hard. Any idea why the guy doesn't get at least a shot? BTW - I know that we are looking for a power runner in our arsenal, but the guy did look to fight for the extra yards.

Sorry, I must be one of the uninformed. I have no idea who you are talking about. If it's K Williams, he doesn't get more snaps because he isn't very good.

KELVIN LEE An explosive, athletic player with good ball skills... Switched positions from running back to safety during the spring.

Yeah I know he switched to safety but I still feel like he would make a better fit at runningback and could actually contribute this year. Maybe it's just me though because I've always been waiting for him to do more.

I don't think he would get any PT on offense. He isn't better than hill, hall, or hunt for sure, and he probably isn't better than williams or karris johnson. we are going to need a safety next year, so if he can learn the position, he will have a chance to play.

He's been a huge asset on special teams.

I've thought the same thing ratofalls. They must see something in practice that we don't, because when he has played in games as a running back, during clean up time, I thought he ran hard, and in my opinion, deserved a little bit more time during other games to see what he is made of. The coaches just haven't done that for whatever reason.
