Lame flight charter.

Post by Machismo » November 13th, 2015, 8:15 pm

I know it had been posted before and thought something would have been done about the late departure times. They probably won't be getting to the hotel or Barracks or whatever till 10 pm. Then they gotta get something to eat. Probably won't get to bed until midnight. Then play a noon kickoff in the morning, that's kinda pushing it IMO.

So I read this as another lame flight either scheduled or delayed for the timely arrival of our team? This now becomes the total fault of Utah State University to not correct this disaster.

First time shame on you, second time shame on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

flight from Logan to Col. Springs shouldn't be too bad. It's usually about an hour flight from SLC to Denver.

We were booked into this lame company, Swift, for the season, and it was too late to get someone else for the last one. This wasn't even the second time, this was the THIRD time. We WILL be using a different company next year.

The team was still in Logan at 8pm last night. The lame charter was delayed - again. Who knows what time it was by the time everyone got settled in and got some rest. If we lose today I will not blame Wells or the team.

I feel that this company needs to change their name to something that more accurately describes them.

How about Delayed, or Giant Pile of $#@*.

According to flightaware, it left at 8:08 and got in to Colorado Springs at 9:26.

And maybe this is why they have 6 AM practices in the spring, to prepare them to play after getting little sleep.

GFA is correct, football is a game of mental toughness! It's not for pre-Madonnas who need beauty rest! :nono:

We look very much asleep at the start of this game, so far. Could definitely be attributed to the excessively late travel plans, imo.

True, but rhythm and routine are important in this game of mental toughness.

Amen. You people are crazy if you don't think the late travel affects us.

Coach wells was asked about it earlier this week, team was aware of it and said "we'll never use it as an excuse". This stuff isn't new to anybody, many of go to work with little sleep. You just go and do your job. It is what it is.

As a leader you are supposed to give your team every advantage to win possible. If Wells isn't trying to do anything about it, it's a cop out and piss poor, $h itty leadership
