Re: Good luck with Miller
Hope he decides on USU. I believe he is a mission kid. If that is the case I hope we go after 1 other freshman runningback considering we did not sign a freshman rb in last years class. Some names to keep an eye are Marvin Kinsey (we are in his final 4), Morian Walker II (visiting this weekend), Nick Smith (he visited in December) and potentially Johnnie Lang (which is feel is unlikely).

I'd take Nick Smith from the videos I've seen.slcagg wrote:Hope he decides on USU. I believe he is a mission kid. Re: Good luck with Miller
Don't overlook Wyoming. Plenty of teams and schools will say "no one wants to play in Logan"- and then we get that player. Wyoming is a D-1 FBS program and if it's between us and them I'd be willing to wager there is something at that school he finds appealing.

Re: Good luck with Miller
With Morian Walker's commitment today it seems like Miller waited a little to long to pull the trigger.

I was thinking the same thing. Don't know if we'll take two RBs.GeorgiaAggie wrote:With Morian Walker's commitment today it seems like Miller waited a little to long to pull the trigger.

Re: Good luck with Miller
No, meaning he wouldn't take up a scholarship in this class.
But ya, I guess that's possible.

I don't think the board consensus supports mission kids would rather be at BYU.viewtopic.php?f=6&t=39704jackmormon wrote:And he will probably transfer to byu in a couple of years, if given the chance.ineptimusprime wrote:No, meaning he wouldn't take up a scholarship in this class.

He has an offer to byu. Sitake rescinded but then offered again from an article I read.jackmormon wrote:And he will probably transfer to byu in a couple of years, if given the chance.ineptimusprime wrote:No, meaning he wouldn't take up a scholarship in this class.

Re: Good luck with Miller
Maybe It was just Bronco, but BYU has a history of using missions as a second shot at recruiting, whether they had an offer on the table in the first place or not.QuackAttackAggie wrote:He has an offer to byu. I spoke with a current player recently who told me he was recruited by BYU hard the last two months of his mission.

Great job coaches! Is it just me or has there been a quick refocus with the local players since Maile was brought back?

Sure seems like it. I know Tre Miller and Troy Murray were both offered after Maile came back. Not sure if it is a direct correlation between him or not. But I like seeing all of these players from Utah committing.hipsterdoofus21 wrote:Great job coaches! Re: Good luck with Miller
In many assorted organizations one or two people can beneficially alter the energy and success level of the entire group even if said organization has a solid base. It could that with the addition of Coach Maile the genesis of this turning point was achieved. I would speculate that his return to USU was a portion of the catalyst needed to reignite our collective recruiting energies.

Troy Murray was offered a Gray Shirt back in the fall. Wyo and Nevada offerd full. Just recently USU offered a full.slcagg wrote:Sure seems like it.
