A Wide Open Letter to trombone_ninja

Post by corio » September 1st, 2016, 11:30 pm

Dear Ninja,
Tonight the band showcased a GIANT step in the right direction. I sat on the West Side for the first time in my life and was able to see the students' reaction to all of your songs. The selection was awesome with an awesome mix of classics, all which were able to be sung along with. I was thoroughly enjoying it and then Sweet Caroline was the cherry on top of it all. My brother in law always joked that the band should play that song because no one can hear it without going "bah bah baaaahhh", and his theory was proven tonight. If you could kindly let whomever would like to know it, there was at least one person in the stadium who was ecstatic with the changes with the band.

Agreed. I have been a huge critic of the band in the past - deservedly so from someone who has extensive MB experience. Tonight, I enjoyed the band. I would do some things differently but that is just me. I do think they need to memorize their music but I enjoyed it. Great job!

Live just a bit north of the stadium. I have watched them practice in n parking lot 4 times.
I have noticed they are better, more creative and above all having fun
The leaders have elimination contests. The the winner gets first cupcake or whatever
But leaders and students were having a blast
It showed on the field. Good on the band

The new sound system helps a lot as well. Loved the band tonight

Big Thanks to the band and Dr. Weaver!

BTW, playlist request:
