I’m really happy for him! I had thought he wasn’t going to end up on the first team because he didn’t get any interceptions during the second half of the season. He had two great opportunities near the end of the Hawaii game, but couldn’t hold on to what would have been spectacular picks.

Let me also say thank you to the fine quarterback corps of BYU. This wouldn’t be possible without you!

If in August you had told me we’d be in a bowl game, have a Lou Groza finalist, and a first-team all-american this season I would have laughed in your face.

Not a perfect season by any stretch, but a lot more to cheer about than last year!

Jalen has been a blast to watch in his four years here. A well-deserved award.

USU's first first-team All-American since Kevin Robinson was named to CBS Sportsline's AA team as a KR in 2007. Last position player was Rulon Jones named to Sporting News first team in 1979; last named to Walter Camp Foundation team was Phil Olsen in 1969.

Nobody here knows anything.

It was cool to see Jalen get mentioned at the college football awards show last night.

Amen to that!

It's easy to focus on where we fall short. It would be good to focus a bit on the positives for a change. The program, even in a bit of a 3 year slump, is SO much better than it was 10 years ago. And things are looking up. We'll have an experienced and improved team next year. With a soft schedule, we have a very realistic chance at being undefeated at home next year, and 8-4 or even 9-3 overall. I think we'll probably beat BYU again next year, giving us 4 wins out of the last 9 games, and 3 out of the last 5. That's starting to look like a pretty even series. I don't think we'll have a division championship next year, but weird things happen. Boise might stumble. And with an 8-4 or 9-3 record, we should get a respectable bowl. If we keep beating BYU, and they continue to slide, we should start beating them in some recruiting battles.

It's a good day to be an Aggie! :scotsman: :utah: :state: :scotsman:
