Re: Football Eve!
I'm betting an @$$ kicking. Wells doesn't care about the money games. He's made that clear over and over. Regardless, I find myself sitting here watching the clock slowly tick. Can't wait!

Re: Football Eve!
I’m confused. Are you saying Wells doesn’t properly prepare for these games?
Why are you turning his into a Wells bashing thread?

I'm actually really smart, probably smarter than you are so if you disagree with what I have stated in this post, you are likely wrong (and dumb).

Re: Football Eve!
I'm excited to see what we have just like everyone. We sure would like to see our Team compete well, play tough and hang with these dudes 4 quarters. I'm thinking we will cover, if we don't I'm not going to get to upset about it, after all this was a 10 win Team a year ago that basically has all their players back and will compete for the Big 10 crown.
I'm going to try and take it easy and wait till we see what we do against the Raggies.
Disclaimer- I will get upset if we see boneheaded plays (Personal fouls) and poor Coaching decisions.

Yes I am saying that. No I didn't turn it into a Wells bashing thread. Just answered someone else's on topic question with a candid opinionated answer. Wells always talks about how our team's focus is on us this time of year. Compare that to Andersen who always said their focus was on their next opponent. Even when it was Auburn. Wells correctly prepares his teams for conference play. Thus, his focus *should* be on us, not Michigan State. Thus, I don't have much hope in winning this game, which is fine because it isn't a very important game to win.JonnyCienPesos wrote: ↑August 30th, 2018, 11:13 amI’m confused. Ok. So your basis is comments you have heard Wells make to the media?aceofspadeskb wrote:Yes I am saying that. No I didn't turn it into a Wells bashing thread. Re: Football Eve!
Maybe aceofspades is also looking at the teams performance in money games? . I think Andersen had better teams than Wells generally, and that's why we looked worse with Wells teams against all his money game opponents except USC. I don't know enough about how Wells prepares the team to know if that's the issue. The product on the field certainly suggests differences in preparation, though.JonnyCienPesos wrote: ↑August 30th, 2018, 11:57 amOk. Re: Football Eve!
Guys we are playing a top 10 team tomorrow. We are going to get rocked. We don't have a team that can compete with these guys at this point. Hopefully we escape without major injury.

Re: Football Eve!
That is as right as it can be there is a huge difference in revenues, conference membership, fan support. quality of recruits. The only reason for this game is to make money needed to keep the bills paid. If you do not play to bad, and avoid injury then it is ok. MSU is really really good.
Go Aggies best of luck.

Re: Football Eve!
I miss the days when we would go into these money games with a legitimate chance to win....or at least come very very close. Now we just hope for no major injuries. I miss Gary.

Re: Football Eve!
I remember when we would say " Hopefully we don't have any major injuries" that was during the dark days.. Then we had an awakening, even though we were the little Guy that didn't have the budget and the 5 star Recruits we played tough with an attitude and believed we could compete with even the Big Boys.

Re: Football Eve!
It is to bad we could not pay Gary enough to entice him to stay in Logan, but there is only so much the University can do as far as spending money for athletics. I believe the school has reached that point.
