Through six games, the Aggies have scored 40 touchdowns, which is an amazing number. I don't know what the USU single-season record is, but it is no more than 60, and it's possible that this record could be broken within three weeks. I didn't take the time to count the exact number, but I think last year's team scored 51 or 52. Even good Aggie teams sometimes don't get more than about 40 for an entire season. The ten-win 2014 team scored only about 48 in a 14-game schedule. The one-win 2006 team scored only 16 or 17.

The 310 points through six games are already more than were scored through the entire 2016 season (287). There have been only 15 seasons where the Aggies have scored more than 310 points. The school record is 454 in 13 games in 2012.

My favorite things with this year's team are the ability to spread the ball around on offense and to score on defense and special teams. There have been 18 players who have scored the 40 touchdowns through the first six games. I'm going to say that no other team in the country has had this many players scoring touchdowns:

Off the top of my head, I would guess that Alabama has had at least 18 touchdown-scoring players. They have been running their second and third stringers out onto the field in most games.

It has been fun to watch. It is so refreshing to see. I love the unselfishness of this team. I would love to see Terrell and DJ get a TD by years end. On the flip side of us scoring 40 TD's through 6 games, WYO has only scored 6-7 TD's. That has to be tough to watch as fan.

Spreading the ball around is such a great idea for a team like ours. Imagine the other team trying to guess who will get the ball? Keeps good and better teams on their heels (and their toes at the same time). It speaks really well of the team that we have coaches and players that have worked for months to make that doable.

(I don't think anyone on the board has typed "bubble pass" this year, either. lol)
