Alaska Airlines

Post by AngusAg » October 22nd, 2018, 3:14 pm

I'm sitting in SeaTac waiting for a flight and an Alaska Airlines plane pulls in with a Boise St tail. WTH? Haven't seen something like that before.

Either boycott Alaska Air or walk over and key the plane. Or both.

About 60 truck drivers got off the plane; one of them looked an awful lot like Kellen Moore.

Horizon flies a bunch of Q400s with university logos. There is also Washington, Oregon, Oregon state, a couple Alaska schools, the vandals, and sdsu. I'm sure I missed a couple others as well.

Alaska air via Horizon has bombardier Q-400s painted for the regional D1 colleges, Boise Montana State Montana Washington state pretty sure the Oregon schools and the Washington schools. Pretty sure there’s a UAA and UAF plane that stays in Alaska.

Those school have airports with commercial air service from Horizon air. Perhaps if Logan had commercial air service we might get one also.

That makes sense. Some of the mainline Alaska planes have really nice paint jobs.

I thought Eastern had one, I thought Eastern and Portland State had one at one time, but that would have been 10+ years ago.

I remember someone a few years ago refused to get on the Boise State plane.

Here it is: the Idaho Athletic Director, Rob Spear, in 2009 refused to fly from Moscow to Boise on the Boise State painted plane. Instead he drove to Spokane and took a different flight to Boise.

Always looks like Che Guevara to me, which, considering Alaska is Seattle-based, wouldn't totally surprise me.

It's OK though. The capitol of Alaska is actually Seattle.

Kind of like Idaho, the only state with TWO capitols! Salt Lake and Seattle!

We owe a lot to Alaska. The Gold Rush kinda built the economy here before Boeing, then Microsoft, then Amazon. Hopefully we diversify a bit more.

They may not have a USU paint job, but there is no better airline anywhere. Great customer service.

LOL. Really?

How about the top airlines in the world:
Singapore Airlines
Qatar Airways
ANA All Nippon Airways
Emirates
Eva Air
Cathay Pacific Airways
Lufthansa
Hainan Airlines
Garuda Indonesia
Thai Airways

That said, the same Skytrax World Airline Awards who recognized those 10 airlines as the best in the world did honor Alaska Airlines with some pretty impressive awards:
* Best Regional Airline in North America
* Best Airline Staff in North America
* Best Cabin Crew in the USA

I have flown Korean air in coach and business class this year. Both hands down better than any airline I've flown on before.

Good for him. Boise State has worked very hard to screw over U of I, kinda like what Utah and BYU have done to us

Ok, let me rephrase. I've never flown a better one. Maybe someday this school teacher will ride Qatar or Singapore.
