Boise State ....

Post by utaggies » November 17th, 2018, 1:30 pm

must be salivating at halftime of the CSU/USU game, even though the game is meaningless towards who will be the champion of the Mountain Division. We don’t look like a 3 TD favorite. We lead 10-7 but we should be losing by at least a touchdown. CSU has twice our yardage, we can’t defend the pass, and we’ve only had one sustained drive. Love looks like he’s playing in a Wyoming 2.0 game. At this rate we’ll be lucky to escape with our dignity intact.

I’m hopeful for a resurgence in the second half. At least we get the ball to start it.

I also like how we played the game after the Wyoming game. Our D has to play better and the O to score at least twice and we’ll be good.

Unfortunately we play Boise next week after our "bad" game and not UNLV.

I think a down to the wire and gritty game is what the team needed.

Plenty of things to learn from this game and improve for next week.

It may be a tad late in the year to swap out our entire secondary.

Lots to learn. Such as our QB cant play in cold weather, our DBs can't cover anyone over 5'10, and our D really can't stop a traditional offense that can run the ball.

I don't believe we are truly a top 25 team.

Just stop. The team didn’t play well but the end result was the same as the previous 9. Try and enjoy it.

I was thinking that if somehow we win next week that maybe we got to play the MWCC in Fresno, maybe we are a warm weather team. But then I found out we won.

I'd rather be the worst 10-1 team in the country than the best 3-7 team. Some of you guys are miserable. Enjoy the special year. Winning 10 in a row is really hard. Takes luck to run the table like this.

BYu-p won a fraudulent National Championship with a team VERY similar to our Aggies from this year. Much of rankings in College Football are subjective. We're great on paper. That counts for something, right? I have no doubt that our guys would get blown off the field by a Michigan or a Alabama, but against any other team ranked 10-25, I think our boys would make it close, or even pull out a win. Are we world beaters? Absolutely not. Can we compete with teams in the top half of the rankings? I think we could at least make it close!

A-freaking-men. We’ve won 10 straight games for the first time in the 100+ years of playing football at Utah State. A very, very difficult thing to do no matter who you play.

We are USU playing CSU, despite the records do you think our players are really that much better than CSU's? Who was predicted higher pre season? Just because the way the season has played out, expectations have changed. If I told any of you we would 10 in a row preseason you would be ecstatic.

It's hard to defend when the QB has all day to throw.

The question is, are the Boise State receivers better than the Colorado State receivers? Will Tipa and the Dline get some pressure on Rypien? Will Love play better in the cold next week than in the cold next week?

Well that is three questions, but you get the point.

Also, the footing at the start of the game was sketchy and miserable. I hope it doesnt snow in Boise next week

I'm amazed at how often a bit of disappointing play turns many of us into BYU douche fans. Did we play well...NO. Did CSU play really well.... YES! Did we win...YES! Move on!! Go Aggies!!!

We'll come out for Boazy, IMO we over looked this team because they are garbage on paper. Another wake up call hard fought game, we won.

Every game is different. San Diego State won in Boise then had to barely squeak out a home win against San Jose. Our team still has weaknesses and I don't know who will win next week but I don't see today as a sign that we can't compete with Boise.

So glad we can finally have a legitimate discussion about Boise State without being bombarded by posts saying JFW.

In defense of our D, there were a lot of holds which otherwise would have resulted in pressure.

His week just reminds me why I say JFW. I’ve seen too many losses in situations where we really need a win.

Ohio State beats Maryland in overtime by 1 point. Do you think Ohio State is the number 10 team in the nation? You can say the same thing about most ranked teams. Do they really deserve it? We proved we can play with the big boys by way of Michigan State and we have crushed everybody else save two teams. I think you have bought in to the P5 blias. Don't believe it!

Yep. We have the longest winning streak in school history. I'm happy as you can be as an Aggie fan right now. Sorry we didn't win by 50, but that isn't the reality in a long winning streak. There are going to be tough games.

No, I don't think Ohio State is a top ten team. This has nothing to do with P5 bias and everything to do with the fact we were manhandled by a three win team.

I'm enjoying it immensely! I'm simply very concerned about being manhandled by a 3 win team and for the second time this season our offense froze in cold weather. Also, as many of us noted throughout the season, opposing WRs were running free through our secondary and today the QB was able to take advantage.

Boise will be cold. Boise has maybe the best QB in the MWC and the exact type of WRs as CSU. It's a rightful concern.

Purdue beat Ohio state rallying around a Cancer Victim. Today they rallied around Bobo with his nerve thing foot problem.
The man in just a short sleeve shirt hobbling up and down the sidelines never ever fazed by the sting of winters bite. It was very inspirational to them.
