Coaches for Bowl Game

Post by Aggiestyle » December 3rd, 2018, 9:40 am

I know we hav an acting head coach for the bowl game. But what about offensive and defensive coordinators? Almost looks like a one-man show at this point.

The way I took it, all the assistants will still be available for the the bowl game. Matt just isn't the Head Coach.

He is not. He told me via text yes, then 2 days later told the team he is going too :disappointed:

Probably had not been offered to triple his salary the first time you ask, source level midnight.

Not for the bowl game per say, but here’s what I could make sense of via Twitter:

* Frank Maile - Interim Coach
* Keith Patterson - TTU
* David Yost - TTU
* Jovon Bouknight - TTU
* Julius Brown - TTU
* Stacy Collins - No TTU retweets
* Steve Farmer - TTU
* DeAndre Smith - retweeted Brown saying he’s going to TTU
* Uani 'Unga - No TTU retweets
* Luke Wells- TTU
* Waqa Damuni - No TTU retweets
* Dave Kragthorpe - Probably staying retired
* John Cannova - no TTU retweets
* Chuckie Keeton - Pretty sure his twitter handle used to say USU, but not sure, no TTU retweets
* Al Lapuaho - No TTU retweets

Waqa Damuni is friends with Wells and got his job in the first place of that, so he is likely gone to TTU as well.

Why do we care about Waqa D.? He is not primarily involved in the coaching, and his own son (a good football player) is going to the “school down south”.

Waqa has been a key cog in the recruiting game, especially when recruits and their parents come for their official visits. And unless you know something I do not, his son is still going to Stanford and another one just committed to Idaho State.

His map fell on the floor and he has trouble figuring out which was is North.

Perhaps? The Damuni's have a Stanford logo on the rear window of their SUV.

If there's a Damuni on the roster at the Y, it's probably Waqa's nephew.

Practices for the bowl game start tommorrow it will be interesting to see who comes back to coach. The only ones that
I have heard are Frank Maile and Stacey Collins on defense and Yost and Unga along with the administrative assistants
and Graduate assistants

As far as Dumini he would like to stay - he has a assistant a.d. in his job title which means he is not terminated automatically when a coach leaves

I'm not sure it's even going to matter. There is a lot of dissaray due to the coaching change. Practice is just starting today. Yet we are allowed 15 practices. We are going to be lucky if we squeeze in 8. We are going to go in very underprepared.

I don't mind that they are leaving but this is unacceptable! These guys are still being paid by Utah State, they STILL have a job to do. To me it seems like they are quitting on these kids which is pure :bs:
