When I drive out of state or even in state, i like to use an app called Waze. You can ping cop car locations, debris on the road, cars on the shoulder and so on. Its really cool because as other ping this stuff, it alerts you if there is a cop or debris ahead.

I use waze some times, it's hit or miss because you are relying on others to report he speed traps. If you happen upon it first, OOPS
And remember, the cops use the too to see when they've been outed. I once saw this motor cycle cop hiding in the bushes and I outed him, only to have him message me to thank me for giving up his best spot

I use a radar detector, just don't speed if there isn't anyone in front of ya.

On the freeway you can get by with 6-8 over if not in an urban area

In Arizona, the unwritten rule is 11 over. I generally go 10 over. Never been pulled over for speeding.
